A deliceous appartment, completely rennovated, in the middle of the pictoresque neighbourough of Trastevere, where you can find all kind of sweet, romantic and fashionable place. Situated in the heart of the town, you can walk everywhere, but it' s also very well desserved by bus and tram. Sunny, with a balcony and a beautiful (website hidden), wireless. Furnished in etno-design style, it's a very nice place to relax. There is a bedroom, with a double bed, a studio, with another double bed, and a living room, with a sofa bed.
Thanks to Maria for being so helpful and flexible. Great location.
Wonderful location bordering the acion of Trastevere but unquestionably peaceful. Convenient, with public transport, supermarket, great restaurants and cafes, and nightlife all in a moment's jaunt. (No exaggeration!) Major torist sites a half-hour's walk away or so, but the tram comes very often and will whisk ypu straight to the Piazza Venezia. The apartment itself was lovely and cozy. Maria was informative, friendly, and in touch. We had a terrific week and cannot wait to return!
Hi, this is Annie. My mom reserved this apt for me and my husband for our honeymoon, and it was a GREAT move! Wonderful apartment in a fabulous part of Trastevere (close to everything), and Maria is sweet, helpful, and responsive. Read her book, Been Here a Thousand Years!
Peaceful and quiet with a wonderful large bathtub. Maria is lovely and checks in on you via email from time to time to make sure you are comfortable. I recommend this place to singles or couples. I hope to stay here again another time. Many thanks.
Maria's apartment is located in the very good Trastevere district, this a city center without crowds of tourists, so to speak. We liked it very much, Saturday night is best of all, bars, restaurants, the vibe. You have to walk there to feel it.
Apartment is excellent, bright, very quiet at night (this one is important thing when you rent apartment in Rome, believe me).
Maria is a very good host, very responsive and helpful, answered every single one of my sms.
Maria's flat is sunny and beautiful. Everything was clean and perfect. The area is great, there is a supermarket not far and the trastevere area is wonderfull for eating, lot of great restaurants and you can easily go to the historic center for visiting. I recommend this place!
Great apartment. Perfect location on the main street in Trastevere, a block away from the tram, was clean and quiet. Would stay again.
My boyfriend and I stayed here with our 10-month baby last month for close to a week. First the pros:
Beautiful apartment - The apartment is adorable and is a great space with lots of light.
Great amenities - Apart from one of the air conditioners not working, we pretty much had everything we needed. Washer and dryer, full kitchen with everything you need, free wireless throughout the apartment. Wish we had some extra towels though (especially with a little one), but we just washed the ones we had while we were there.
Great neighborhood - It's centrally located with great restaurants in walking distance. Grocery store, pharmacy, ATMs, cafes are all right around the corner. I would suggest looking up some of the things you would need online. I think it would be nice to have a list of recommended places for guests. It's always nice to know what the locals think!
So, for the cons...
Must be quiet - It's definitely a quiet apartment given that it is in the heart of Trastevere. The downside is that guests must be extremely quiet. The neighbor complained to us several times about noise -- one time even during a Sunday afternoon. She didn't want my boyfriend playing acoustic guitar on the balcony or music in the apartment. So, if you are there with friends or kids, I would suggest you stay elsewhere.
Unclear on the "rules" - The owner informed us that there is a "siesta law" in Italy after the neighbor complained to us. I've been to Italy over five times and did not know about this law. I suggested to the owner that she clearly state all the rules of the house, including tips on the trash disposal (a bit complicated for a short stay!), how to use the elevator (for international guests not used to European style lifts), among other things.
Would I stay here again?
I regrest to say that with so many problems with the neighbor, I would not stay here again. I think it's ideal for solo travelers that do not plan to be in the apartment very much and would like silence. Generally speaking, ultimately, we felt we could not listen to music, play acoustic guitar, talk on the balcony, or watch TV while we were there. If you don't plan to be in the apartment much or would like complete silence, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, I would recommend staying at a different place or ask Maria for the "quiet time" hours and rules in advance.
The apartment is as described, quiet, beautiful and very well situated to visit Rome. Maria is a charming host. I warmly recommend it.
