A treehouse feel guests love

Guests describe it as a peaceful treehouse above the city, with views they return for
Perched high in the Hollywood Hills, this private guest retreat feels like a hidden treehouse above Los Angeles. Wake among the trees, enjoy coffee on the sun-drenched terrace, soak in the freestanding tub overlooking panoramic views from Hollywood toward the ocean, or relax on the outdoor daybed. Peaceful and secluded, yet minutes from Griffith Park, Franklin Village, Los Feliz and Silver Lake. Featured by Time Out as one of LA’s Top Airbnbs.

The space
A beautifully designed open-plan guest retreat with a queen bed, freestanding bathtub and sink, private toilet, private outdoor shower, and indoor/outdoor spaces for relaxing. Enjoy fast Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speaker, Nespresso and coffee makers, microwave, hot plate, fridge, cooking essentials and filtered water. The private toilet is just outside the French doors. Please note: reaching this hillside retreat requires climbing several sets of stairs.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the guest unit, outdoor daybed and outdoor shower shown in the photos. The suite sits at the rear of my home and feels wonderfully private, with its own entrance and direct access to the shower, which is exclusively for guest use.

Please note that reaching the suite requires climbing three sets of stairs from street level. Guests who are comfortable with stairs should have no difficulty.

Other things to note
A few things to know before booking: No smoking inside the guest unit and no pets, please. The outdoor shower is completely private and for guest use only. Because of the hillside setting and multiple sets of stairs, the property is not recommended for guests with young children or anyone who may have difficulty with stairs.

I’m a filmmaker who has called Los Angeles home for more than 30 years, while spending much of my life traveling for work and living between LA and Europe. I love great food, thoughtful design, beautiful places and discovering the less obvious corners of a city. I created this little hillside retreat to reflect those things: peaceful, private and surrounded by nature, while still very much in the heart of Los Angeles.
