I am a bit of a back yard farmer raising chickens for our freezer and have an on going experiment to see what grows well in the way of veggies. We both enjoy cooking and the on going battle called gardening.

  • Our times in Deborah's and Fred's house were definitely the best part of our weekend getaway from New York City. The accomodations were perfect, the breakfast healthy and yummy (with eggs from their hens, rasberries from their garden, and homebaked bread), and their company a great pleasure. Deborah graciously accomodated all our special needs: From very late arrival due to heavy traffic to dietary wishes and special sleeping arrangments. The house is super cozy and we laughed a lot - we hope to be able to return soon.

  • My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay with Fred and Deborah. They were the consummate hosts - warm, welcoming, helpful, understanding. They stayed up late for us when our delayed plane caused us to arrive very late at the B&B. They were accommodating of our special dietary needs and made us delicious breakfasts. They graciously allowed us to use the refrigerator and kitchen when we missed all the restaurants due to very early closing times. They also allowed us to use the laundry facilities. I highly recommend this B&B and our charming hosts. We would definitely stay with them again if we are in the area.

  • We had a lovely stay with Deborah and Fred. Our room was very comfortable, the accommodations were immaculate, and the breakfast was great (in its full English greasy glory). We highly recommend and hope to stay again next time we're in the area.

  • Deborah and Fred were nice folks, but I had other expectations of the accommodations.

The room we were staying in was an extra room that they have in a huge house and the bathroom that we used was of their 91 year old mother who lives with them--it was a little disconcerting at times.

I wish they would have mentioned that in the listing.

  • We stayed for one night and Deborah was very accommodating making us tea and offering us homemade banana but bread that was delicious! She also gave us information about attractions in the area. Deborah was helpful but also left us to ourselves.

  • Deborah and Fred were perfect hosts. Very easy going with a comfortable, clean welcoming home. Deborah made me some home made celery soup for supper. Which was delicious. All the vegetables came from their impressive garden. And home made bread (what can be better?)!! A hearty English Breakfast finished off my stay. I will be returning for sure. Thank you for everything Deborah & Fred---it was most enjoyable!!! .
