A London self-contained one bedroomed ground floor flat which is perfect for enjoying the buzz of London life while not being caught up in traffic and noise. Great public transport links 24/7 plus wide band communications - e-mail, text, internet and SKYPE from the sofa and workstation too. Well fitted out so you can travel light. If you need a local PAYG SIM card for your unlocked mobile phone just let us know in advance.
- Living room has a 46 inch flat screen colour television with Philips Bluray player and Google Chromecast + surf the web from the sofa. Plus a desk for catching up with work with its own workstation and full internet access. We have high capacity broadband and wireless broadband available 24/7 and also a fast router and cable to connect to your own laptop.
- Large fully fitted kitchen diner with Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, Colour Television/DVD. It really is a Cook's kitchen with a Magimix, an automatic capsule espresso maker as well as filter coffee maker, a fridge/freezer with ice etc. There is also a steam iron and ironing board with a walk-in airing cupboard
- Fully fitted double bedroom with colour television/DVD (just look at the pictures) (hairdryer in drawer)
- Bathroom with walk in hydrotherapy jet bath (i.e. "jacuzzi" equivalent ) and overhead shower. Plenty of towels provided.
The flat is 30 yards from Hendon Railway station. This has trains into St Pancras every 15 minutes with a journey time of just 17 minutes. You can time your journey down to the minute - the train arrivals and departure boards are available on your smart phone and on the web in the flat. So waiting on a draughty train station is a thing of the past.The train service also runs directly to Wimbledon Station (journey time one hour) for tennis; Gatwick Airport (70 minutes) and Luton Airport (23 minutes). The London Underground Station is also only a 10-12 minute walk away or short bus ride. There is also an excellent bus service (83 and 183) which is just 60 yards from the house and both buses go to Golders Green where you can catch the National Express coach to Stansted Airport. Night buses to and from Trafalgar Square run past the front door of the house.
The property is twelve minutes walk from the Brent Cross Shopping Centre with late night opening and major stores (e.g. The Apple Store, M&S, Fenwicks, John Lewis, Waitrose, Boots, along with 120 other stores). There is also a large Sainsbury’s supermarket about 10-15 minutes walk away or short bus journey. At Hendon Central there are also small local Tesco and Sainsbury’s supermarkets which stay open each night to 11.00pm as well as a Post Office.
Sightseeing and Eating Out:
The train service with underground connections including West Hampstead, St Pancras, Farringdon, City Thameslink and Blackfriars means you can easily get to any part of London you want to. You are just minutes away from all the key venues. There is a good selection of restaurants in West Hampstead but London has the most ethnically diverse food in the world and food markets on Sundays e.g. in Camden are great for trying out something a little different after a stroll along the canal from Regent’s Park.

We are in a great location for getting to all the key London business 'hotspots' : 'Silicon Roundabout', the City, the West End - all the places where business and British enterprise thrives. We do it ourselves on a daily basis so we know where to 'hot desk' and where to 'chill out'.
Welcome Pack on Arrival:
There is a welcome pack which is free of charge so no need to rush out and buy food immediately. We provide milk, orange juice, bottle of water, bottle of red wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and fruit, spread and croissants. Items can be varied according to dietary/cultural requirements - just email us in advance.
Check in and Check out times:
We try to be as flexible as possible with check in and out times, particularly with early morning flight arrivals or late departures.
We have a stock of visitor’s parking permits which are currently priced at £1 per day.
Mobility Impaired Guests:
For mobility impaired guests the flat is all on one level except for two steps into the kitchen - and it has a walk-in bath with jet massage (see photos). It is not however suitable for manual or motorised wheelchair users as the corridors are too narrow.
One well behaved dog allowed by prior arrangement and subject to a supplementary daily fee of £5 per night.

One dog allowed by prior arrangement and subject to a supplementary daily fee of £5 per night and the satisfactory completion of a web questionnaire. Any third person sleeps on the sofa bed in the living room and we need to be notified of a third person at the time of booking. The flat is in a residential area so we would appreciate no noise between 11.00pm and 6.30am
We are in a Controlled Parking Zone and can provide Visitors Parking permits at the price of £1 per day for our guests.

About the Host, Alistair
Gosh - I've done lots of things. I've been a barrister dealing with high tech cases in the UK courts. I have been a Forensic Computing Expert Witness, dealing with the reliability of computer evidence. I have written a couple of books and Special Reports for the Economist. I've been very fat but now I am normal sized at last. I have invented a couple of things and have granted patents in my name.
I cannot live without my Darjeeling Tea and my fresh Illy coffee. When I am out and about I cannot survive without Starbucks. I love working - see my website for background.
Diana, my wife and best friend, is the 'brain' and engine behind our AirBnB operations. She is the person in charge of things like 'thread counts' in the bedlinen and she ensures that everything is run to her standards. I just help out with the administration and techie things for our business visitors.
My Macbook Air and my Amazon Kindle go everywhere with me. At home it is my trusty Apple iMac that I rely upon with a Lubuntu workstation. That plus two smart mobile phones - which. because this is London, work around the clock.
We want you to really enjoy London which we consider to be the greatest city in the world - cosmopolitan, clever, international, artistic and friendly (yes!). Our flat will give you a base to do just that - log on and make your bookings then go out and have fun. Or sit in and watch British television in HD - the best television programming in the world. We are a good base for doing business in 'Silicon Roundabout', the West End, the City - in fact in all the best parts of our capital.
