Unfortunately, the apartment was not prepared for our arrival and needed a thorough cleaning. Additionally, we were uncomfortable with the lack of exit to the outdoors. The apartment does not have any windows or doors leading to the outdoors, making us concerned about fire safety. The windows and doors shown on the listing lead to an indoor lobby area shared by other apartments. If there were a fire, there would be no way out.
I was in close contact with Lori from the first inquiry, till she decided to leave.
Upon hearing that the unit was unsatisfactory, I spoke to her and said we would have someone to clean at her earliest convenience, and she said great.
I am currently out of the state on business, but still managed to stay in contact with you with little wait. I responded very quickly when you raised concerns and was more than willing to correct the issues at hand. As Lori stated, I do not work on weekends, however, I have a number of representatives that live in the complex that handle any issues when I am unavailable. I can assure you, if I have been in town, I would have personally been there (no matter what day) to correct any problem that arose.
It is clear that you are not familiar with fire code. We have occupancy for the entire building, and there ARE sufficient means of egress not to mention a state of the art commercial fire alarm system monitored 24/7.
I can't quite understand how you, Lori, can dictate whether we allow smoking cigarettes in OUR PARKING LOT. Our complex is a non-smoking facility, if individuals would like to smoke we ask that they use our back lot.
This complex is in Lorain, and yes, there are many vacant businesses. However, the condos are fully occupied and ironically, you are in the safest part of town. We have 19 tenants in these condos and have never had an issue. Additionally, there is a security system with 20 cameras that can be monitored remotely by myself and the owner.
Since we began listing our unit, we have never had any responses like this. I feel as if there are underlying motives with our client and any issues she MIGHT have found were blown out of proportion in order for her to build a case to leave. As I said before, we were prepared to correct any problems she found, however we were not given the chance.
