Modern, spacious, 4 star, non-smoking, apartment in the heart of the revitalised vibey Cape Quarter/de Waterkant at the foot of Signal Hill and just a few minutes walk from the city centre. This former "slave" area has been declared a National Preservation Area and renovated within strict guidelines to preserve the architectural style of the eighteenth century. Today, de Waterkant is a very fashionable, cosmopolitan area leading off from Somerset Road on the "fanwalk" from the city centre to the 2010 World Cup Soccer Stadium in Greenpoint. Explore its cobbled streets, Cape Dutch/Georgian/Eastern architectural mix, cafés, delis, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, boutiques and galleries. Walk to the V&A Waterfront or through Greenpoint Urban Park to the lighthouse at Mouille Point and the Seapoint Promenade. The promenade stretches 4kms from Granger Bay (next to V & A) to Bantry Bay with lawns alongside. There is access to small beaches long the route which, although not suitable for swimming, offer pleasant relaxation areas.
The self service, non-smoking, apartment is tiled throughout , with underfloor heating and ceiling fans in all rooms plus air-conditioner in open-plan living area. There is free capped wifi access, see house manual for details.
The lay-out ensures privacy in both bedrooms: both with two single beds. Both bedrooms are en-suite. A baby cot is available.
The open plan living/dining area is well equipped with comfortable sofas (one converts into a full double bed) , satellite TV and dining table/chairs to accommodate up to 6 persons. The open plan kitchen has full cooking facilities, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also a laundry area with automatic washer and dryer.
The building offers security (24hr concierge), a lift and 1 secure parking bay (on apartment level).
The apartment opens onto a small "piazza" with planters etc.
The apartment is serviced weekly at no extra charge on long lets.

There is a taxi rank just outside the building or catch the excellent value My Citi bus, outside the Cape Quarter Mall, to Seapoint, Clifton and Camp's Bay.

Mike and Liliane were very friendly and helpful hosts. They helped us with advise and information as we were first time visitors to South Africa we found it very useful and helpful. The accommodation was clean, central and within easy walking distance to V&A Waterfront and well maintained.
This place is WONDERFUL. It's location is very convenient, the building has great security and a very friendly doorman, and it's in a fun part of the city. Everything in the apartment was clean and nice and it had all the amenities we could have asked for. Liliane and Mike were very responsive to all my emails and made setting everything up a breeze. They even arranged a cab to pick us up at the airport on arrival. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable, homey place to stay in Cape Town. I stayed with my family of 4 and we were all very happy with the experience. Thanks for the great time!
This is an absolutely great place to stay in Cape Town, and excellent value for your money. It is walking distance to the V&A Waterfront, multiple restaurants, and a huge grocery store. The area seemed very safe, and I felt fine walking even very late at night. I highly recommend staying here.

We had an awesome time in Cape Town. The apartment is perfect and suited us well. Right near the Waterfront and the Main road so it was easy to go for a walk and for dinner. Also right next to a Spar so everything worked out to be very convenient for us.
This apartment was better than the photos suggested. It was beautiful and very conveniently located between the waterfront and long street (the city centre). Liliane was very helpful in accommodating our needs and was very quick to respond to any queries. The 24hr security and 2 minute walk to a grocery store were also an added bonus. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay in Cape Town.
Mike & Liliane are located in the best part of Cape Town! I was minutes walking from some incredible restaurants, a great indoor mall with incredible shopping and walking distance from the V&A. Liliane was extremely helpful in giving me feedback on the activities I should plan while vistitng and I had the easiest time getting into her apartment. The apartment was beautiful and the washer/dryer were extremely helpful since I had a couple loads of laundry while I was there. I strongly recommend others to use this place, outstanding!
