Hidden Well is a pet-friendly cottage that's more than just a place to stay. Tucked in a coconut grove just 175m from an unspoiled beach, it has been curated to nourish, restore and revive, and is an idyllic escape for surfers, couples and solo travellers who appreciate Bali’s authentic, uncrowded beauty. It has fast wifi, aircon, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor bath (perfect for star-gazing) and more than 20 varieties of orchids. Walk 3 mins to the beach or drive 10 mins to surf at Medewi.

The space
Hidden Well feels wonderfully private (with just one family living next-door). There is no frantic tourist vibe here – instead you’ll find a quiet connection with authentic Bali; a place where life is lived to the rhythm of nature. This is ’old Bali’, and it’s absolutely magical!

We’ll arm you with info on things to do with local guides and small family-run businesses. Book for 4 nights or more and we’ll offer you a free pink-buffalo and paddy experience – a brilliant opportunity to learn more about Balinese traditions and rural island life.

The garden is enclosed but as there are free-range chickens in the area, your dogs must please be chicken-friendly. Please bring your dog's bed and bowls.

We work consistently to keep the cottage well maintained but, because of the natural setting, it's inevitable that from time to time you may share the space with geckos or insects.

GETTING AROUND
We recommend you have a scooter, as it's a bit far to walk comfortably from Hidden Well to nearby restaurants and shops. We can help to arrange this if you don’t have one already.

Hidden Well is 175m from a long, unspoiled back-sand beach. It is tucked into a coconut grove and banana plantations and is beautifully peaceful. Medewi surf point is a 10-minute drive away, and it'll take 3-4 hours to reach the airport, depending on traffic.
