Where you’ll be

Monrovia, Maryland, United States

This is a pre civil war historic farm in a transitional suburban area. It is a working farm with cows, horses and a stocked pond. The location is peaceful. We are about an hour from downtown DC, Baltimore, Antietam and Gettysburg battlefields. Harper's Ferry, WV is about 45 minutes away.

The historic Maryland towns of New Market (Antiques Capital of Maryland) and Mt. Airy are a few miles from us respectively West and East on the Old National Pike.

For more sophisticated dining and shopping Frederick, MD is about 20 minutes to the historic downtown. Frederick is home to the Civil War Medical Museum, the Monocacy Battlefield and the famous "Clustered Spires" of downtown Frederick.

Retired from the professional world. Children mostly gone but near. Raised with dogs, sheep, cows and horses. Norma is getting back to knitting and spinning as time permits. Patrick hunts, builds furniture, collects antiques. We like to travel independently. We find our guests tend to come here to relax and unwind so we welcome them and offer them assistance only if they ask for it. Many guests want to use the kitchen, walk the grounds or fish in the pond. We are convenient for day trips to Gettysburg, Frederick, Harpers Ferry, Washington, DC and Baltimore. We are child friendly and pets are welcome in the kennels. We have space for large vehicles and trailers.
