The flat is very clean, with a lovely view and lots of light. The linens are all designer and there is interesting art on the walls. The hosts were super accommodating, even at short notice, and the little touches such as leaving breakfast in the fridge, coffee by the maker and toiletries in the bathroom were really appreciated, even if we didn't use them. The area is accessible to downtown quite easily in a variety of transport ways and there are places to eat all around too. The book of cards of all the restaurants around was really great, and there were maps and lots of other information provided.
The place is just the way it shows on pictures, good area and very clean.
The location is perfect to access all areas of the city, with a great walkscore close to parks, restaurants, buses and L stations.
The space was well-kept, clean and retained some classic features of the buildings original design.
Our host was very accommodating with check-in and check-out times.
Next time I'm in Chicago I will consider staying here again.
Great location. So much better than staying downtown, excellent places to eat nearby, Lincoln park and the Divvys at the end of the block. The apt was clean and comfortable. We were met at the bus stop and delivered to the apt. Alexis has a lot of information on nearby eateries available. We'd definitely stay here again.
staying in Alexis' apartment was like staying in a luxury hotel. Great views, tastefully decorated, very, very clean, with a thoughtfully-curated set of tourist books and tips for the neighborhood. It's an average sized studio apartment, but it had everything we needed for our stay. We were able to cook our breakfasts in the apartment, and take them up to the roof deck to enjoy. It is apparent how much time and care goes into managing the apartment.
Just home after a delightful stay in this studio which was clean with a modern look and feel. Great location-beautiful views from the room and from the large roof top deck. Walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, the spectacular lakefront, marina and parks. I will definitely book with Alexis again for my next visit.
We spent three amazing days in Chicago. The appartement of Alexis was perfect with the lake front view, the "terrasse-roof", the available towels and the possibility to cook. We recommand!
We really enjoyed our stay in Alexis' apartment. The apartment is as described and is perfect for a stay in the city. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to north avenue beach and there's a bus that goes from very close to the apartment to downtown Chicago. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed including towels, hair dryer, dishes, cutlery etc. The drinks in the fridge on our arrival was also a nice touch. Definitely recommend Alexis' apartment.
Alexis' apartment was perfect for our weekend in Chicago. The place is a small studio but was clean and well-furnished. We had everything we needed including plenty of towels, coffee and a hair-dryer. The roof deck has chairs and amazing 360 views. There was responsive communication throughout the process, including meeting us after a very late flight with the keys and being flexible about a late checkout. The location is fantastic.
Thomas was waiting for me at the set time with the keys and the first thing I noticed was the apartment is very clean and light. The neighborhood is wonderful and you still get a lake view. They let me many clean towels and also an iron, a hair dryer, an umbrella and many options of things to do in the city. Besides that, they were all the time taking care of everything and trying to make sure I was ok, in a very kind way. I didn´t understand why some people here were complaining about the size of the apartment, it´s just like the pictures shown. It´s just a matter of seeing if an studio is what you´re looking for. It was perfect for me!!! Thank you Alexis and Thomas, I hope to come back!
