This is a truly charming gem which provided us with wonderful location from exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region. What an area to explore; wonderful wine, great food and oozing with history.
Judy and Frank were warm and generous hosts and in no time we felt like we were visiting long time friends.
We would be happy to return and recommend July and Frank's home without reservation.
We loved our stay.
My wife and I spent four nights in Judy and Frank’s independent suite and found it perfect for our needs. The suite was very clean, stocked with all essential supplies and more, very spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. It seemed more like a home than rental accommodation.
For our purposes, their location in the village of Puisserguier was great. It is very central, easy to get to more major centres, and surrounded by wine makers and historic areas. The village itself has the facilities to meet your daily needs and all are within an easy walk of the accommodation.
The best feature of the accommodation is the hosts themselves. They are very knowledgeable about their area and much of France in general. They are natural hosts, being very welcoming, warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They appear well known in the area by both locals and expats and have the respect of both.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have made their acquaintance and would certainly stay with them again.
We had a wonderful time in this spacious, cool house (it was such a pleasure to return to the house after our hot summer days on the beach). Everything close at hand; beautiful old villages, the ocean & super-kind and warm hosts who made us feel so welcome. We made up our minds already; we will be back here, thanks for a wonderful time!
Judy and Frank were incredibly warm and welcoming, they literally could not do enough for us, up to and including inviting us down for some wine and home-cooked treats! The accommodation was delightfully quirky, clean and beautiful. This is a great location for visiting both the mountains and the coast, as well as being surrounded by numerous lovely old towns and villages. Can't recommend them and their apartment enough.
Our stay at Les Roses was outstanding and we highly recommend both the host and the Apartment. Very central in the lovely village and with the use of the hosts bikes we were able to explore far and wide at a very leisurely pace.
Frank and Judy at the kindest, most sincere people we have ever met. They speak and host from their heart. They were so delightful and helpful from our initial contact and throughout our entire stay. Their apartment is impeccable. Clean, well appointed, well decorated. Everything you need is at your fingertips...from hair dryers and towel warmers to picnic baskets. The linens were so fresh smelling and the bed so comfortable we had to pry our self out of bed to get out and about. The town is quaint and very centrally located. Beaches, mountains, castles, churches, great wineries and fabulous restaurants abound. Judy has all kinds of local information available as well if you want to research some of the local points of interests. We found not having an itinerary and just making it up as we went along worked best since there is so much to see. We would highly recommend just walking around the vineyards and take in the lovely fresh air and enjoy the vineyard bliss! More than anything, we can't say enough great things about Judy and Frank. Our vacation at Chez Les Roses was one of the best trips we have ever had! You will not be disappointed.
