We have just spent 10 memorable days at Les Roses with our fabulous hosts, Frank and Judy. They were most welcoming, warm and gracious. They were always there to answer any of our questions and were most helpful in suggesting daily activities and how to get around.Expect stimulating conversation enhanced by a glass or two of fine local wine. The village is central to exploring the region and we highly recommend renting a car for the freedom and convenience. The upstairs accommodations are spacious and decorated with beautiful antiques. Judy has attended to every detail and everything you might need to make your visit more comfortable is here.
This is a truly charming gem which provided us with wonderful location from exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region. What an area to explore; wonderful wine, great food and oozing with history.
Judy and Frank were warm and generous hosts and in no time we felt like we were visiting long time friends.
We would be happy to return and recommend July and Frank's home without reservation.
We loved our stay.
My wife and I spent four nights in Judy and Frank’s independent suite and found it perfect for our needs. The suite was very clean, stocked with all essential supplies and more, very spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. It seemed more like a home than rental accommodation.
For our purposes, their location in the village of Puisserguier was great. It is very central, easy to get to more major centres, and surrounded by wine makers and historic areas. The village itself has the facilities to meet your daily needs and all are within an easy walk of the accommodation.
The best feature of the accommodation is the hosts themselves. They are very knowledgeable about their area and much of France in general. They are natural hosts, being very welcoming, warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They appear well known in the area by both locals and expats and have the respect of both.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have made their acquaintance and would certainly stay with them again.
We had a wonderful time in this spacious, cool house (it was such a pleasure to return to the house after our hot summer days on the beach). Everything close at hand; beautiful old villages, the ocean & super-kind and warm hosts who made us feel so welcome. We made up our minds already; we will be back here, thanks for a wonderful time!
Judy and Frank were incredibly warm and welcoming, they literally could not do enough for us, up to and including inviting us down for some wine and home-cooked treats! The accommodation was delightfully quirky, clean and beautiful. This is a great location for visiting both the mountains and the coast, as well as being surrounded by numerous lovely old towns and villages. Can't recommend them and their apartment enough.
