Judy and Frank were the best hosts we could have imagined. They were so welcoming. The apartment is large and there is everything you need. Even in summer it is possible to keep the apartment cool because of all the fans. The region is fantastic, and the apartment is situated perfectly, close to interesting places and cities. We would love te return. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you.
The greatest thing about the flat in Puisserguier is its hosts. They were so welcoming, and made us feel at home. The flat is as described, and it has a nice feeling to it. It seems as if you leave in the house of someone who kindly let you stay there in their absence. It feels like a home rather than an impersonal place that it's rented out.
I definitely enjoyed being in Puisserguier (who is very well located for exploring the wonderful Languedoc area), and would stay there again.
Thanks Crisitna, we enjoyed having you. Normally it is not a problem with the road but I think because of the heatwave and everything having to be wide open that this may have been what happened. Our little air conditioner can only work so hard. :)
We have never had a complaint before from anyone about the noise. The windows are all double paned and then of course the shutters at night. If we have another heatwave in the future this shouldn't be a problem since the village is in the process of having a detour put in and all through traffic will not pass through the village. It should be completed in a few months.
Again, thanks Christina and we hope to see you again soon. You were a delightful guest and always had a beautiful smile on your face.
Judy and Frank
We have just spent 10 memorable days at Les Roses with our fabulous hosts, Frank and Judy. They were most welcoming, warm and gracious. They were always there to answer any of our questions and were most helpful in suggesting daily activities and how to get around.Expect stimulating conversation enhanced by a glass or two of fine local wine. The village is central to exploring the region and we highly recommend renting a car for the freedom and convenience. The upstairs accommodations are spacious and decorated with beautiful antiques. Judy has attended to every detail and everything you might need to make your visit more comfortable is here.
This is a truly charming gem which provided us with wonderful location from exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region. What an area to explore; wonderful wine, great food and oozing with history.
Judy and Frank were warm and generous hosts and in no time we felt like we were visiting long time friends.
We would be happy to return and recommend July and Frank's home without reservation.
We loved our stay.
My wife and I spent four nights in Judy and Frank’s independent suite and found it perfect for our needs. The suite was very clean, stocked with all essential supplies and more, very spacious, and thoughtfully appointed. It seemed more like a home than rental accommodation.
For our purposes, their location in the village of Puisserguier was great. It is very central, easy to get to more major centres, and surrounded by wine makers and historic areas. The village itself has the facilities to meet your daily needs and all are within an easy walk of the accommodation.
The best feature of the accommodation is the hosts themselves. They are very knowledgeable about their area and much of France in general. They are natural hosts, being very welcoming, warm, friendly, and generous with their time. They appear well known in the area by both locals and expats and have the respect of both.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have made their acquaintance and would certainly stay with them again.
We had a wonderful time in this spacious, cool house (it was such a pleasure to return to the house after our hot summer days on the beach). Everything close at hand; beautiful old villages, the ocean & super-kind and warm hosts who made us feel so welcome. We made up our minds already; we will be back here, thanks for a wonderful time!
About the Host, Judy & Frank
Retired, transplanted New Yorkers living in France and loving every moment of our time here. Have enjoyed meeting all of the wonderful interesting people that have stayed with us at Les Roses. Having owned restaurants in NY we certainly appreciate the quality of the food and wines of the region.
We enjoy traveling ourselves so try to give the same level of comfort to our guest that we would look for.
