Getting around

There is public transportation to and from Puisserguier but highly recommend the use of car. No public transportation on Sunday and it ends rather early in the evening. Beautiful countryside to explore via car or bikes and walking. If you do not want the use of a car we can make arrangements to pick you up at the airport or train station. Write for rates and availability. We do have two bikes you are welcome to use once you are here.

  • Our stay at Les Roses was outstanding and we highly recommend both the host and the Apartment. Very central in the lovely village and with the use of the hosts bikes we were able to explore far and wide at a very leisurely pace.

  • Frank and Judy at the kindest, most sincere people we have ever met. They speak and host from their heart. They were so delightful and helpful from our initial contact and throughout our entire stay. Their apartment is impeccable. Clean, well appointed, well decorated. Everything you need is at your fingertips...from hair dryers and towel warmers to picnic baskets. The linens were so fresh smelling and the bed so comfortable we had to pry our self out of bed to get out and about. The town is quaint and very centrally located. Beaches, mountains, castles, churches, great wineries and fabulous restaurants abound. Judy has all kinds of local information available as well if you want to research some of the local points of interests. We found not having an itinerary and just making it up as we went along worked best since there is so much to see. We would highly recommend just walking around the vineyards and take in the lovely fresh air and enjoy the vineyard bliss! More than anything, we can't say enough great things about Judy and Frank. Our vacation at Chez Les Roses was one of the best trips we have ever had! You will not be disappointed.

  • We spent a wonderful week in the laungedoc. Our stay with Frank & Judy was made even more delightful by a lovely evening spent with our hosts over some beautiful food and some local wines. Frank and Judy made us most welcome and shared there local knowledge with us. We would highly recommend if you wish to visit this beautiful part of the world you would be made to feel most welcome by our lovely hosts.

  • We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Les Roses. The flat is equipped with pretty much everything one might need during stay. Judy and Frank are considerate, warm hosts, always ready to advise and help their guests, both before the arrival and during the stay. It was a pleasure to meet these friendly and interesting people and to have an opportunity to spend some time in their company. We hope meet them again one day!

  • A fantastic apartment in a cute countryside village. Frank & Judy were both incredibly welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. We particularly enjoyed their hospitality and tips to explore and make the most of the local villages. We hope to visit again sometime soon.

  • We have just enjoyed a fantastic visit to Les Roses. The apartment is very French, practical and spacious. Judy has thought of everything and everything is in abundance from the copious soft towels to the incredible hospitality that both Judy and her husband, Frank, consistently offer. The advice on what to see, where to eat (superb restaurants - close by and in Montpelier) is spot on and nothing is too much trouble for these two. Friendly, hospitable and informative. Our only trouble was in leaving – but as one famous American said, “I’ll be back”.

  • My husband and I had the privilege of staying at Les Roses self catering apartment Sept 1-8, 2012. while we were on an extended trip through Europe. We wanted to experience France in a small village during the grape harvest and we could not have chosen a more wonderful place to do so. Puisserguire is a small village of friendly locals, in a great location near the mountains and beach. Lovely medieval villages abound close by, and the incredible Carcasonne is a short drive. There are lovely towns just waiting to be explored, or just sitting at one of the local restaurants watching the pulse of village life while sipping espresso or wine. There are several local farmer's markets with amazing food throughout the week in various villages. The canal du Midi is 5 kilometers down the road. Beziers is the nearest largest city. The backyard of the apartment is a vineyard! The apartment itself is a treat. It is beautifully appointed and feels quintessentially French! It is large and chock full of everything you could possibly need,- including everything from picnic basketsand beach towels to board games. The bedding and linens are very nice. We enjoyed cooking a few meals after shopping at farmer's markets. The local restaurants are good. Judy and Frank are interesting and lovely hosts. We had some traveling mishaps before arriving and they were so helpful in assisting us. We enjoyed visiting with them and getting to know them. They are real ambassadors for the French culture! They seem to love sharing their country and their lovely home with travelers. We highly recommend this gem and are so grateful we found it on airbnb.

Retired, transplanted New Yorkers living in France and loving every moment of our time here. Have enjoyed meeting all of the wonderful interesting people that have stayed with us at Les Roses. Having owned restaurants in NY we certainly appreciate the quality of the food and wines of the region. We enjoy traveling ourselves so try to give the same level of comfort to our guest that we would look for.
