This pool house is like living in a small house, everything you need is there . I stayed 30 days to find a place close to my new job. I was around the corner from St David South Austin. The community is full of people that wanted to refurbish homes in an older community. Safe to walk or ride bikes in. Scott was very hospitable, the little house was clean, well lite, lots of windows, yard beautifully landscaped, fenced private yard and we felt right at home. 5-10 minutes to 290 depending on traffic.

Scott and Rae were very pleasant and responsive to our needs. We spent 5 weeks living here as we transitioned from an out-of-state move to Austin. Our 10 year old daughter loved the swimming pool. I worked from home and the internet service was strong and reliable. The place is tastefully decorated and was actually bigger than we imagined it would be. It was a little tight for 3 people, but do-able and would be very comfortable for two people. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, dinnerware and small appliances. It was very convenient to have access to an on-site washer and dryer. Two window A/C units kept the place cool at all times. We definitely recommend staying here!

My boyfriend, dog, and I stayed here for one month when we moved to town, and it was great having this temporary home to help us feel grounded as we made this transition in our lives. The space was just perfect for us, and we were very appreciative of the kitchen fully stocked with cooking supplies, and bathroom complete with towels, shampoo, and conditioner. The bedroom and living space was comfortable and cozy, and everything was clean and well kept. We loved the small private yard space where we could let our dog out for some fresh air and we enjoyed sitting at the little patio table. Scott and Rae made us feel very welcome in their wonderful little guest house. We arrived late in the evening while Scott and Rae were out, but they left a key out for us and had emailed instructions on how to let ourselves in. They had thoughtfully turned on the AC for us before we arrived and later that evening Scott came over to say hi and brought us some cream for our coffee in the morning. Scott and Rae were delightful hosts and quick to respond to my email questions and to suggest fun things to do around Austin. They invited us to a happy hour/pool party in their backyard with their friends and family, which was great fun! Our pups became fast friends as well, and would wait for each other at the gate separating our yard space from the main house - too cute! The only thing we had a little trouble with was staying connected to the WiFi, but it may have been my computer, and we solved this by just staying plugged in with the ethernet cord. The neighborhood was a perfect location for us. It is quiet and safe, but only a block away from 1st street, which leads you right the 71/290 hwy about a half mile north, and is only a 10-15 min drive to downtown. It is a great neighborhood if you have a dog (or kids) since there is a school right down the street where you can go to play fetch, walk the track, etc. We really loved this little spot and I will be recommending it to any family or friends who come to town.

My husband and I stayed at Rae and Scott ' s guest house for 2 months while on a travel nurse assignment in Austin. Rae and Scott were very friendly and hospitable and the guest house was perfect for our short stay. It had all that we needed including kitchenware and linens and all other basic necessities. Not to mention the location was phenomenal! We were just minutes from downtown and basically on S 1st St which is where many popular Austin eateries are stationed. Would most certainly return! Thanks Scott and Rae!

I enjoy hanging out with friends, running, learning how to play the guitar and Austin. I have my own business helping healthcare providers make enough money to have a good life. My husband, Scott is a remodeling contractor. He makes our house look very nice all the time. And our daughter, Ellie (9 yrs) enjoys swimming. And, we love the Red Sox. We have lots of fun and love life!
