Yurt dwelling is indescribably peaceful. Our property is 150 acres, off an end-state maintenance road, though just a 20 minute drive off interstate 81 or to the quaint town of Floyd, or the VT area. This 24' yurt is beautifully modern with a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom/ shower, TV and (high speed) wi-fi, and comfortable sleeping and hangout spaces- surrounded by acres of streams, trails and natural beauty. Neighborhood highlights

The area is very rural.. all the neighbors on the road have lived there many years, and are friendly folk. The yurt driveway is just past where the paved road turns gravel, and a further expedition down the gravel road will take you down a windy, beautiful mountain and is a short-cut to Roanoke.

My work: Restauranteur, Co-Founder of FloydFest, Owner/Operator of Revolution Juice, employee at Blue Ridge Yurts
Lives in Floyd, Virginia
My life is rounded in every way! Blue Ridge Yurts is owned and operated by my family; my mother is 70 and makes all the wooden components herself! I deliver and erect yurts, and as well operate a superfoods juice business, Revolution Juice, out of a 16' yurt in downtown Floyd, Virginia. I'm the (retired) co-founder of FloydFest, and am in process of building a shipping container house with my carpenter boyfriend, Spencer. I have two grown(ish) children, Chloe and Tristan, and believe wholeheartedly in creating and living a life you love- whatever that looks like. I love being able to share this beautiful space in the Blue Ridge Mountains on Airbnb. Yurts *can* be primitive- but these are not. They're totally pimped out, and make for a beautiful, relaxed getaway with all the modern amenities. In total the property can house up to 12 people- great potential for a family reunion!
