Interaction with guests

At Villas Jacquelina many guests often arrive as strangers and leave as friends. I am generally around and available to help be your real life guidebook. We love to recommend our favorite places to eat, where to explore in our little city, and the best adventure tours in the area.

The neighborhood

Villas Jacquelina is located in a beautiful farm area called "Finca los Alfaro". The Alfaro farm area is well known for its striking beauty while being close to Quepos. Guests love that they are so close to town yet feel like they are miles away. It is only a short walk to central Quepos where you will find local restaurants, shopping, live music and more. It's also a short 15 minute walk to the marina and our newest park, where you can watch the local fishing and tour boats going in and out. You can visit our local farmers market every Friday and Saturday in front of our new marina. There you can try some of our unique fruits and sample home baked pastries.

Getting around

The property is about 12 minutes walking or 3 minutes by car/taxi from downtown Quepos. From there, you have a frequent bus service (every 15 minutes, 60 cents/ride) to the Beach and National Park Manuel Antonio. The drive to the beach and national park takes about 15 minutes. We have parking available if you have a rental car.

Other things to note

Start your day off right by enjoying our homemade breakfast served with coffee, tea, and fresh fruit for only $6. Daily housekeeping is included and laundry service is available at an additional cost. There is WIFI throughout the villa.

If you would like our help arranging any of your tours such as, white water rafting, zip-lining, waterfall or mangrove adventures, sunset cruises, and more please let us know.

Steven was very quick to respond to us. We landed in Costa Rica with no agenda or a place to stay. We contacted him and he responded within a few min. He's english speaking as well, so that really helped us, since we don't speak Spanish. The pool was nice to get into after a long hot day, and the next morning breakfast was served for a small price. $6 per person. Everyone who stayed and the staff were incredibly friendly. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.

We loved the location as it was away from the noise of the town, yet close enough to walk into Quepos to take the bus, buy groceries, use the ATM, or eat out. We felt very fortunate that Quepos had such a great bus system from which to explore the whole area, north and south. Villas Jacquelina has two hard working woman who cook (pay extra for delicious breakfast) and keep the place spotless. There is a well-stocked kitchen in which you can make your own meals. You can then head out to their spacious deck where you can spend many relaxing hours listening to nature, eating, socialist with other tourists, or just relaxing in the cool of the morning or evening. Although you probably won't need hot showers, it was nice to have the option. Although we did not use the pool, it is there for your use. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we would definitely stay at Villas Jacquelina.

Stevens place was awesome! He is a straight forward host and very knowledgable of the area. Just tell him what you want to do and he will make sure to get you booked right away. Always good to have an english/spanish speaking host. The place is located very close to the town and breakfast was awesome! We got lucky and was able to interact with cool hostel mates. One thing was the pricing, there is an advertisement in the city that its $35 but its $50 for airbnb. Just be consistent because felt like we were getting ripped off. Would def recommend staying here though!

The view was incredible. The host Steven was incredibly kind. He generously took me into town one day and dropped me off. He made sure I had everything I needed and knew my way around. The breakfast that you can buy was delicious and cheap. I would absolutely stay here again.
