About This Listing
Welcome to our cosy recycled design studio apartment!
Draw on the blackboard, recline in the armchairs, snooze in the bed, eat at the table - all made by us!
Our studio is kind of like a mini warehouse space and is situated in the hip leafy green neighbourhood of Prenzlauer Berg.
The area is full of cobbled streets, old street signs, wide pavements, big old trees, a great variety of independent restaurants, cafes and bars and we keep our favourites written on the kitchen wall for you. There's a whole blackboard wall for doodles and notes - we provide chalk!
The kitchen and furniture are made by us at Not A Wooden Spoon with recycled floorboards. We like to keep it dynamic so the furniture changes regularly and if you like something in the apartment, we might just let you buy it!

We were made to feel very welcome by our host, Rachel. The apartment was spotlessly clean and everything worked fine. Comfy bed, beautiful wooden designer furniture , neat lighting.
The quarter is really nice, Pretzlauer Berg is very lively, full of places to eat, shops, cafés and nice places to walk around. Good transport, U2 and trams are very close with direct routes into the city centre.
Really nice apartment and smooth communication! Everything was as described, and Rachel was also very helpful on tips regarding transportation to and from the airports. The neighborhood was also really nice, with restaurants, cafe's and really nice breakfast places. Walking distance to Kastanien Allee with nice secondhand shops and cosy places to eat. Map and other useful information was in the apartment when we arrived, together with up to date tips on cultural events in Berlin. Loved it! Also loved the furniture and the minimalistic style.
The apartment is ideally situated in an area with lots of atmosphere. There are lots of cosy cafes and playgrounds if you are going to Berlin with a child.
The apartment is a one room, but we had the space we needed for two adults and a child of 5 years.
We'd love to stay there again.
Fantastic studio in a wonderful neighborhood! My husband and I (Michael and Rachel) absolutely had to stay at Rachel and Michael's place while we were in Berlin. The studio was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Rachel and Michael even left a few snacks in the fridge which was appreciated. The neighborhood is very safe and lots of bars and restaurants to enjoy in the evenings. We loved Berlin and would stay here again next time we visit!
Läget är perfekt. Tyvärr träffade vi inte Rachel och Michael, de var bortresta. Däremot togs vi väl omhand av en mycket trevlig och hjälpsam granne. Vi fick tips om bra musikställen, något vi bett om i förväg.
We had a fantastic stay at your apartment! Location was perfect - very close to many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The apartment was very clean, warm and comfortable and Jo who greeted us was very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Berlin to stay here!
