The space

Loft in the top of silo tower of a former grainmill

The special Loft on top of a silo tower grain ware house has a separate entrance from the staircase, privacy is assured. The rooms are finished in an industrial and natural style. The original silo structure is still visible. The brick silo walls contrast the comfortable designer furniture.
The guesthouse has an entrance with a spacious wardrobe and a pantry with coffee maker, water boiler, microwave and refrigerator. The bathrooms each have a sink, toilet and shower.
Also a design sitting area, comfortabl four poster bed and bath with incredible view on surrounding, a desk with Wifi Internet and 3D player and TV /Audio are standard. In the private pantry breakfast can be made at any time.

The night before guests are provided a box with the breakfast of their choice: bread or milk / muesli. Of course the fresh baked bread is delivered in the morning.
For those interested, there are also courses and workshops for painting on large formats (200 x 200). In a hall of the former mill a robust studio has been arranged, with 10 large easels. In the gallery of the mill an exhibition space for contemporary art has been established. There are two rooms of about 50 m2 for changing exhibitions.
The architecture of this former grain mill is clearly industrial. According to the principles of farmer cooperatives in the'50s, functional, robust and solid are the key words. At the same time, the building has some Italian features as well. Like the startling rhythmic of windows, beautiful roof structures and two challenging grain silos reminding of sturdy Tuscan towers. Respecting the original architecture, the mill was recently thoroughly renovated. The atmosphere of the old mill is still visible in the woodwork and the bare or rough stucco walls. Hoppers, grain pipes, drive shafts and hoists also remained intact. The beautiful details perfectly reflect the old post-industrial function. No wonder this superior piece of industrial heritage was marked as a monument. Today, the former silo accommodates a house, a large painting studio, a gallery, lounge rooms and lovely guest rooms.
The mill is on the outskirts of the village of Epe. And immediately borders the Veluwe with moors, vast woods and the wide river area around the river IJssel. Walkers, cyclists and nature lovers can enjoy, as the woods practically start at the door. Also art, culture, gastronomy, wellness and relaxation are widely available in the vicinity. The centres of Zwolle, Deventer and Apeldoorn are only a short distance away.
