The apartment is very very good value for money.
Very nice is the kitchen with more than enough to cook. The living room is large and the bedroom is comfortable. Everything was clean and professionally maintained, the level of noise was low during our stay.
It is located in the old part of Erevan, there are shops and restaurants and cafes close by, and public transport is easily available.
Nona was extremely helpful in arranging local transportation and directing us to local places of interest. I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody looking for a memorable stay in Erevan. We feel like we have a second home in Erevan and can't wait to return.
Among all the lodging options that I explored in Yerevan, this apartment was the best. I am from the United States and I stayed there for a week in September 2013. I was looking for something convenient to the city center that was non-smoking (somewhat rare in Yerevan!) and had air conditioning, but yet was affordable for my relatively lengthy stay. I also wanted wi-fi internet, but this apartment does not have it. My friend was able to get me a pre-paid wireless modem, though. Most of the hotels I found seemed either to be not very nice, or were adequate but expensive. This apartment turned out to be the perfect choice. It was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and was of a good size (maybe full-size?). The apartment also has comfortable furniture (including an upholstered sofa, love seat, and armchair) and a spacious closet. The kitchen had a refrigerator and dishes and utensils. The bathroom is small and looks relatively unfurnished, but it was clean and has a heated towel rack. There is a washing machine from laundry in the bathroom but no dryer, although the very nice woman who maintains the place offered to do laundry if it was necessary. She is also available in case you need transportation from the airport. The only disappointment I had was that the wall-mounted air conditioner did not seem to work. It turned out to be unnecessary, however, since I was usually away during the day and Yerevan cools down a lot at night. It might be nice to have air conditioning at the peak of the summer, though. In terms of location, you can't ask for a better location than this apartment. You can see the top of the Yerevan Cascade from the window, and most of the city center is accessible within a 20 minute walk. It's only about a 5 minute walk to the major bus stops (maybe 10 minutes to the metro) and there are taxis everywhere. The apartment is in the second floor and there was a bit of street noise (the apartment is on Isahakyan Street near Marshal Baghramyan Avenue almost across from HSBC Bank), but nothing that I found unusual for city-center lodging. The neighbors were quiet. I felt very safe in the location and safe walking around Yerevan in general, even at night. The stairwell is not automatically lit at night, however, so it looks foreboding until the motion-detected lights kick in. There is also an old-looking elevator that I didn't try. The residents lock the front door to the building at night; be sure to ask for the combination when you check in. There is a back door too. Overall, I was very, very glad that I found this apartment! I would definitely stay there again.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope you visit us again. For readers AC was turned off and does work, usually there is no need for it since it is very cool apartment as Jeffrey said. As of 10/24/13 we now provide 1 mobile internet stick (flash drive) for your convenience. We strive to make it affordable and convenient so people enjoy their stay and care for our apartment as if it was theirs.
