I stayed in Bo's house with a colleague for SXSW. The place is nice and cozy with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, which is helpful if you need a coffee early in the morning. I liked the well working shower and also the possibility to use a washer & dryer. It's not hard to get to downtown Austin since it's only a short walk to the nearby bus station and also a rather short taxi ride if you need to return later at night. Though we didn't meet in person, Bo was very helpful and uncomplicated and sent us lots of useful information on the area before we arrived, and he even offered to use his bike (which we didn't because we were two). Overall we had a very pleasant stay.
Bo's house is a nice little place, not terribly far from downtown Austin. I was visiting for SXSW, and used a bike to get around, so it was only a short ride into town. But if you're planning to stay there, you should probably have a car or some other way to get around.
As for the house itself -- it's pretty cozy, a standard two-BR place. I had no complaints about the accommodations. The only issue I had was that it was cold and rainy the first few days I was there, and it tended to be cold throughout the house. Otherwise the house was fine and Bo was a fine host.
