The space
Hiker's Hideaway is the perfect getaway for two guests but can accommodate up to 4 (2 adults/2 kids) with a full size sleeper sofa on the main floor.

The cabin underwent a complete remodel in 2019, including granite countertops, a Bosch cooktop (no oven) and spacious refrigerator. Please note, kitchen does NOT have an oven.

The bathroom had a makeover in 2024, to include beautiful slate surrounding a soaking bathtub.

The loft is cozy, with a brand new queen memory foam bed and premium bedding. In the loft there is also a pull down TV and a skylight for star-gazing. This skylight has a light-blocking blind so no worries about early morning sunshine disturbing your sleep!

The living room is comfortable and includes a dining table for 2, cozy gas fireplace, mini-split for year round comfort, high speed StarLink internet, and a full size sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress, suitable for one adult or 2 children.

The deck faces out to an amazing territorial view, where you will enjoy cooking on the Weber gas grill and dining al fresco. The newly-covered hot tub will be the perfect spot to unwind after your hiking adventures. We have a large yard, surrounded by trees - a great spot for corn hole, lawn croquet, frisbee and other games.

While we don't have a view of Mt Rainier, the territorial view of Quenantum Peak is spectacular from the deck. Quenantum Peak is a Yakama Indian word meaning “walking path”.

We provide access to the onsite laundry barn for guests, as well as an EV charging station.

While small, this cabin has all the amenities of our larger cabins!
**Please note, sleeper sofa not suitable for 2 adults.

NO SMOKING

Guest Count - Rates are based on guest count. Only guests stated on the reservation are allowed at the cabin, including daytime visitors. Actual guest count must not exceed guest count stated on reservation. Violation of this policy will result in a penalty of up to $250 and/or immediate eviction, regardless of how many nights they stayed.

Pets require previous approval.  Pet fee is $250, of which $175 will be refunded if there is no damage and no excessive cleaning.  If you bring a pet and did not acquire pet approval prior to booking the pet fee will be $250 with no eligibility for a refund.

Quiet Hours 8pm - 8am. Noise complaints will be charged $150 per occurrence.

When campfire bans are in place-if you violate the campfire ban you will be charged $250.

Check in is at 4pm. If early check in has not been arranged, arriving at the cabin prior to 4pm will result in a $35 penalty for every 30 minutes prior.

Please remember to be timely with your check out. If prior arrangements for late check out have not been made, there will be a $35 penalty for every 30 minutes past check out time.

We are in a rural area with fragile infrastructure and both power and internet go down frequently.

There is a Ring camera on the front door only. Only video, no audio. Tampering with, covering or removing will result in a $250 penalty and/or immediate eviction.

Hi! My name is Betsy and I own and operate Betsy's Cabins at Mt Rainier. I live in Portland but grew up in the shadows of both Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens. My first job was working at Mt St Helens Coldwater Visitors' Center when I was 16. I spend my free time hiking and exploring the Oregon Coast, the Columbia Gorge, Indian Heaven's wilderness, Mt St Helens, Mt Adams, Mt Hood, Hood River, OR, Mt Rainier and all points in between! I'm an avid indoor rock climber as well. Do you need travel/hiking/points of interest/restaurant help? I can point you in the right direction!
