A historic one bedroom apartment directly on Water Street. Less than 10 minutes walk from George Street, restaurants, cafes, shops, parks, and the waterfront. On site parking, high speed internet, and private laundry facilities.
This great, historic apartment building is located right on Water Street. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, comfy bed, and unique living room with a record player and a great selection of CDs and records.
The living room overlooks the bustling Water Street, while the bedroom is quietly located at the rear of the building viewing a small backyard with a large tree.
Guests are invited to make themselves at home in the space, cooking essentials are all available (including coffee, teas, oils, and spices) as well as laundry facilities in the apartment with detergent and dryer sheets.
Interaction with Guests
The apartment is yours to enjoy in privacy, but I'm close by to help if you need assistance with anything during your stay!
The building is very conveniently located right next to the heart of downtown. It is about a 10 minute walk to George Street, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and the waterfront. There are also great music and antique stores, a Tim Horton's and gas station, museums, a park, as well as a Newfie inspired restaurant within a 2 minute radius.
There is free on street parking right in front of the building for guests and there is also a bus stop less than 1 minute's walk with service to malls, Memorial University etc.
Other Things to Note
While the apartment itself is smoke-free, the only other tenant in the building is an older gentleman who uses medicinal marijuana to control pain. The other tenant is directly below and sometimes the smell drifts up into kitchen. It is not noticeable the majority of the time but people with allergies may be bothered by it.
Amazing space. Felt just like home. Clean with every possible thing you could need from laundry to a fully functional kitchen. Corey always kept in touch to see if we needed anything. Nice and centrally located with parking conveniently outside the building. We would definitely be back.
We really appreciated our stay at Andrea's apartment. It was quiet and very clean. The bed is a bit small for tall guys as my boyfriend, but other than that, nothing to say! We were at walking distance from central action, which is great! The walk can be sometimes long during winter cold windy days, but it is so close that it only takes few minutes taking a taxi, under 5-7$. It's the perfect spot to stay if you want a quiet environment, close to downtown area. Nice gesture to have a coffee and tea basket! Thanks Andrea!
Had such a great experience staying at Andrea's! Excellent location, directly across the street from a bus stop but also very easy to walk into town as well. When we arrived we were so excited to see all kinds of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate sitting out for us which was perfect as we visited in the winter. Very cozy place, spent our evenings relaxing listening to some records. Will definitely be back next time we are in St John's!
"One Bedroom Apt on Water St" is all you need for a short or longer stay. Andrea & Corey are quick to respond and very helpful when needed. Found everything just as photos show. Love that if you forgot something such as a hair dryer or shampoo/soaps, you'll have some there. Everything basic to cook with though you'll want to wonder out for some local food only 10 mins walk to busier downtown.
Cozy and comfy. Yes the smoking smell was occasional. Hopefully you're there more to be out and about seeing sights. But when ever I was in the apt the air fresheners around apt were all that was needed to disregard smoke smell. Great to have laundry there even if mostly to dry off as you will always have some weather in St. John's!
Thanks again for a great stay. Your in good care with Andrea & Corey.
This was a nice clean little apartment about a $5 cab ride to the main tourist area of Water Street. I found the location convenient to where I wanted to go and I was able to use the laundry which I was extremely grateful for after six straight days of travel and 10 flights.
The apartment was nice and clean, as shown in the pics. The location is great - quick walk to entertainment district. Check-in/check out was smooth. Good communication from the host. The host was actually away during my stay, but provided me with an alternate contact in case of issues, but there were none. Would stay again.
I really loved my stay at the apartment on Water st. It felt like home and it was clean, warm and cozy. An easy walk to George street and a great view while checking out the waterfront. Really great amenities and treats like tea, coffee, and other food. Super nice to have shampoo and conditioner available because I forgot mine. My first trip to St Johns was amazing. Can't wait to bring more people to visit.

We're both passionate travelers and outdoors-people! We're both from Newfoundland (Andrea from St. John's and Corey from Trepassey on the Irish Loop).
Andrea lived in British Columbia for several years where she completed an engineering degree, and is currently working in the construction industry.
Corey is attending Memorial University where he is completing a degree in geology.
We both love traveling, animals, food, exercise, tea, and the great outdoors (to name a few). We love meeting new people and look forward to meeting you!
