About This Listing
A historic one bedroom apartment directly on Water Street. Less than 10 minutes walk from George Street, restaurants, cafes, shops, parks, and the waterfront. On site parking, high speed internet, and private laundry facilities.
This great, historic apartment building is located right on Water Street. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, comfy bed, and unique living room with a record player and a great selection of CDs and records.
The living room overlooks the bustling Water Street, while the bedroom is quietly located at the rear of the building viewing a small backyard with a large tree.
Guests are invited to make themselves at home in the space, cooking essentials are all available (including coffee, teas, oils, and spices) as well as laundry facilities in the apartment with detergent and dryer sheets.
Interaction with Guests
The apartment is yours to enjoy in privacy, but I'm close by to help if you need assistance with anything during your stay!
The building is very conveniently located right next to the heart of downtown. It is about a 10 minute walk to George Street, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and the waterfront. There are also great music and antique stores, a Tim Horton's and gas station, museums, a park, as well as a Newfie inspired restaurant within a 2 minute radius.
There is free on street parking right in front of the building for guests and there is also a bus stop less than 1 minute's walk with service to malls, Memorial University etc.
Other Things to Note
While the apartment itself is smoke-free, the only other tenant in the building is an older gentleman who uses medicinal marijuana to control pain. The other tenant is directly below and sometimes the smell drifts up into kitchen. It is not noticeable the majority of the time but people with allergies may be bothered by it.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything that one needs is present (including a washer and dryer!) and it is in a great location - just a 10 minute walk to downtown. Top floor of the building so no noise, full kitchen, and the wifi worked well also. Great value too for the price.
Andrea's house was a life saver...
We lost our luggage for two days and all essentials were there to survive this period.
Otherwise very cozy great location and very easy key turnover
I can only recommend this place!
This was an excellent place to stay for my trip to Newfoundland! The apartment was clean, in the perfect location for waking to just about anything is St. John's, and close to highway access for further away jaunts. I was a lone female traveler ad felt very safe. I will for sure be staying agin in the future and I highly recommended staying at corey and Andrea's place!!!
We had a comfortable and private stay. The photos are representative of this older but charming apartment. It is a 10 minute walk into main down town area but it's all on the level and very straightforward. My husband liked the fact the apartment is next to a music shop. Cory accommodated our changed arrival time and was easy to contact but everything we needed was in the apartment. Plentiful hot water, towels and amenities. An ideal base for a few days in St Johns.
The apartment was bright, clean and very comfortable -- exactly as described. We didn't actually meet our hosts, but Corey was very accessible by phone/text and made all arrangements and instructions very clear and simple. As other reviews have mentioned, the kitchen was well-equipped -- we stayed for a week, so it was very helpful to have everything we needed for meal preparation, including some of the food staples like salt, pepper, flour, etc. Lots of coffee and tea as well was a friendly touch.
Although not in the loveliest part of town, it was easy walking distance to the bars and restaurants of the downtown, and my daughter and I felt quite safe. We took a cab back one evening because it was very late and it cost less than $10 with tip.
We very much enjoyed our stay -- exactly what we were expecting and more.
Big thanks to Andrea and Corey! The place was perfect! Very cozy and welcoming. Great location, all the amenities we needed! Looked just like the pictures. Quick to respond to our inquiries, very clean. Loved the city and the experience. Would definitely recommend it!
The apartment was cosy and we had an enjoyable stay. It was exactly as listed, from the pictures to the descriptions. Great value! :D

About the Host, Andrea And Corey
We're both passionate travelers and outdoors-people! We're both from Newfoundland (Andrea from St. John's and Corey from Trepassey on the Irish Loop).
Andrea lived in British Columbia for several years where she completed an engineering degree, and is currently working in the construction industry.
Corey is attending Memorial University where he is completing a degree in geology.
We both love traveling, animals, food, exercise, tea, and the great outdoors (to name a few). We love meeting new people and look forward to meeting you!
Interesting history about the old railway in Newfoundland and located in a very historic 111 year old building.Water Street West St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador A1C 5X8
