A Rustic and charming 2 bedroom house awaits you 1 block from the infamous Farmer and Cook restaurant and 5 minutes to downtown Ojai. This house is cozy nestled under a canopy of trees in Meiner's Oaks.
I love this place, it's enchanting and calming to he senses. It's serene, rustic and at the same time right in the heart of Meiners Oaks. Wood and tile floors in the living room and carpets in the bedrooms. There's a small kitchen with full sized fridge, sink, and counter, however there's no stove. I have a confectionary oven, electric skillet and hotplate, also an electric kettle, hard boiled egg maker.
The house is under a canopy of large trees and very active with birds and squirrels.
The house is in nature. Raccoons, possums, birds, coyotes and spiders share the neighborhood.
The house now comes only partially furnished; one queen bed, one of two couches that you see in the photos, one chest of drawers, a dining table and 2 chairs. An additional chest in the livingroom. The middle bedroom that you walk through to get to the bathroom and to the 2nd furnished bedroom will be empty. There will be linens, towels, TP, dishes, silverware.
Interaction with Guests
I'll check you in and be 30 minutes away if you need anything.
I love this neighborhood. There is a lovely community of people who assemble in Ojai. It's personable, simple, unpretentious and friendly. You will make 5 friends the first day you're here. There's a great farmer's market downton Ojai every Sunday 9-1. You'll meet everyone there.
The trolly runs right by here all day…it'll take you into town and bring you back…it'll carry your bike too. Speaking of which the Ojai Valley trail is a bike rider's dream. It runs all the way through Ojai, winds down the mountian all the way to the sea!
Other Things to Note
If you're into Yoga, hiking, nature, music, great food and friendly people Ojai's the place. Or if you're looking to hit the reset button Ojai's a good place. If you're looking to find a warm spot to heal yourself or a loved one the Ojai mountains have a cradle like effect on all those who sojourn here. The Native Americans who lived in this area built their homes in the areas surrounding the Ojai Valley. They ventured into the valley only for retreat and healing.
Be conscious and caring. Please water the plants....twice a week. Ojai's hot in the summer!
