Want the downtown LA experience but don't want the high prices???
Want to stay at a downtown hotel next to a subway stop but can't find one?
Want a stunning city line view while relaxing in a rooftop jacuzzi?
You can do all of that at our STUDIO condo in Downtown LA! While it's in the heart of the urban action, our unit faces inward to a courtyard, so it's very quiet. You will not hear the buses stop at the corner starting at 5 am.
Located across the street from the hugely popular restaurant & lounge, THE PERCH; 1-minute walk to ONYX restaurant, Seven Eleven and Rite Aid; BUZZ delivers home-brewed beer and wines from all over the world to your doorstep (till 1am!); and yards from the Pershing Square Metro subway station. Downtown parking can get expensive and be somewhat of a hassle, but you will be able to park right next door in a public lot for $12/weekday $5/weeknight.

We are currently staying in another apartment in West LA, but we have an office in Downtown LA. So, if you have any questions or have any urgent needs, we can be there at your service very quickly. Of course, we are also available via text, email and phone 24/7.
Loved staying at Jeanette & Joe's place. It's right above the metro at Pershing Square so it's conveniently located...even if you are staying in Pasadena (Gold Line) or Hollywood (Red Line) since it is right by the metro. I went to Pasadena several times while I was here. I am a downtown girl so location was perfect, but if you aren't familiar with what DTLA is like, you might find the homeless people annoying. The great thing about the neighborhood is that there are always people out, so it's not like you are on the street alone and just two blocks over to Spring there are lots of bars, restaurants and hipsters. The building has a 24 hour doorman so that's nice as many DTLA buildings don't. The apartment was very quiet. I heard from other residents that some floors are more "party" floors, but this apartment was a VERY quiet floor. You won't get a view with this apartment, but you get a spacious place with a big screen TV, full kitchen, and quiet...for SO much cheaper than a hotel of a fraction of the space. The rooftop pool was beautiful with a nice view of downtown, but my absolute FAVORITE thing about this place was the HUGE bathtub. I am not typically a bath girl, but after walking all day on the streets of LA, it was so great to take a long bath.
Jeanette and joe were great hosts. Their rental had everything that I needed and they checked to make sure everything went smoothly. I highly recommend them
This was a great place to stay. I was there for work and was in town for 6 weeks. They made my stay so great. The pictures were how it looked. They made it an option to have there assistant drop off groceries so if I was busy I didn't have to find time for that. Also they gave me a lot of eateries and things that I should see while in town. All in all it was a great stay and great hosts. Thank you.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Is was a nice appartment with everything in it, with a beautifull rooftop terrace. There are a lot of homeless people downtown, but luckily the metro station was right next to the appartment.
Thank you for letting us stay here.
We had a great time. We were 2 people (one canceled) but the flat is nice spacious great location close to freeway lots of shops and restaurants around. When arriving there was water in the fridge nice!!!!
Also there was a welcom note with all the guidance and questions you most likely will have you can find in there. Roof has a amazing lounge pool and jacuzzi also the view is pretty amazing.
Jeannette and Joe were amazing hosts! The apartment was well-maintained and very comfortable. The rooftop pool was great, and Joe's recommendations were spot on!
Great apartment - very clean. The self check-in / check-out was awesome. Great hosts! Would stay again.
This residence has every thing you would want or need in a down town unit. It is very clean and comfortable.
We had a great stay in LA at Jeanette and Joe's place. Very interesting part of the city and a very pleasant walk to the Metro, Market or art museum. So glad we stayed here instead of a downtown hotel!
I was just in LA the week of March 16th thru the 22nd. I was excited to go and experiance the city of LA. I am sad to say that the experiance wasn't that great. maybe I'm just not the city type, but the traffic and especially the parking situation kinda ruined it for me. It wasn't until 4 days after I was there that I fouind out about the underground parking in the building I stayed in. It was 150.00 a month and I only stayed a week but would have gladly paid it just because of the aggrivation. It was a in and out and overnight. The trip would have been a lot better. Getting up at 0630 to move me car was not my idea of a vacation. Everybody walks around with thier head down looking at thier phone, possibly as to not make eye contact with the homeless asking for money or handouts. Again not my idea of a vacation.. Now ,saying that, if you are use to the city, the loft of Jeanette and Joe is very adequate. The people in the building were very friendly and the 1 night we got to use the hot tube was really nice. Got lots of pictures of the city lights. The front desk guy whose there 24 hours or almost was very helpful and friendly. The closeness of the Metro is great and although there are homeless all around it they really don't bother you. Did the visitor stuff as Lisa.s daughter was our guide and she lives there. We were going to go out to dinner with Jeanette and Joe but just didn't get to it with what we kept busy doing, but Jeanette checked in just to make sure things were going well. If you want to go too and like LA then Jeanette and Joes place wiil acommodate, but go a little later on in the season when it's a little warmer to enjoy the pool and hot-tube more.
With regards to parking, I mentioned in my listing that there are public parking lots all over the city and even one just next to the building. You didn't have to move the car at 6:30 am!! =P It's approximately $5-$15. In addition, you actually cannot purchase the parking permit in the building for a number of reasons. First, you'd actually have to be a tenant, which our Airbnb guests would not be considered as such. Second, the building only sells those permits on a quarterly basis and not weekly. Therefore you would not have been able to purchase that parking permit in the building. Most visitors to downtown LA use public transportation, including the super convenient subway just outside the building front door. Parking is generally fairly expensive and annoying through most of the city.
Like most metropolitan and urban downtown city, yes, there are some homeless people around and about through all of downtown LA (and my urban parts of Los Angeles)--it's a very urban area, much like New York City.
Overall, it seems to me that it's the downtown lifestyle does not suit you. But there are other wonderful parts of LA that I think you would have enjoyed better. I hope that your next trip will be a better one. :)
