The space

This is a downstairs apartment in a stacked duplex building, and is below my other Airbnb listing. **See all my listings at this address by opening my profile

This Historic District property was built in 1940 and is well maintained. Original hardwood floors and woodwork give this space charm. The clean, retro decor adds to the vintage vibe.

Located in the San Marco Neighborhood of Jacksonville, it is an easy and lovely walk to amazing restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, movie theatre, local brewery and the St. Johns River.

This 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment has a living room, dining room, kitchen and shared outdoor seating areas to hang out.

The King sized bed, features a super comfortable Natural Rubber Talalay mattress purchased just for this space. There is a walk in closet w/dressing area, with two additional closets in the apartment.

The second bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps two.

Free off-street Parking behind building and accessed via alley. The parking area is lit at night.

Guest access

Guests will have the entire downstairs apartment (2/1, LR, DR, kitchen), one off street parking space and several outdoor seating areas.

Interaction with guests

We will meet you upon check in as we live just over the River, 10 minutes away. We are available for anything you need and are just a phone call away. You will be able to check out on your own.
PLEASE remember to send me a message when you leave.

The neighborhood

This eclectic neighborhood has incredible architecture and walkability. Check out the San Marco Theatre, Aardwolf Brewery, San Marco Dining District (great food and cocktails), Boutiques, Museum of Science & History, The River Walk, Friendship Fountain and more.

Or zip over to Downtown and visit MOCA and enjoy lunch, or numerous Nightlife Spots.
Just South of Downtown are the Riverside and Avondale neighborhoods. Visit 5 points, King Street District, the Cummer Museum and Gardens and the Shoppes of Avondale.

Getting around

A car is your best bet as this is the largest city (sq. miles) in the US. If you are headed to Downtown, a 1/2 mile walk to the Skyway Station takes you to the Convention Center, Hemming Park (MOCA/Main Library); Otherwise a cab or car service like Uber or Lyft can take you out of San Marco.

There is a Water Taxi that runs between the Southbank (San Marco) to the Northbank (Downtown/EverBank Field/Times Union Center/Florida Theatre, Clubs/Bars etc.) Otherwise you can walk the 1.25 +/- miles from LaSalle St, over the Main Street Bridge, into Downtown.

Free off street parking is behind the building and accessed via alley. Note: Some drivers may experience difficulty using off street parking with very large cars (ex- Escalade, Suburban, etc.). Street parking is also available in front of the home.

Every good thing that's been said about this apartment is true (this is true for both the downstairs and upstairs apartments as I rented both for me and my friends). Great location, super comfortable (especially the beds, we all slept very soundly!). Also, we really appreciated the thoughtfulness of our hosts, Connie & Leslie, as the included lots of extras in the apartments - like starter drinks, great coffee and even some Jelly Beans and fantastic local popsicles. (Who does that!!). Highly recommend the apartments and the hosts!

This place is a perfect stay for Airbnb. The hosts put a lot of thought and time into making sure any guest has what they need. It was in a perfect location and it was immaculately clean. It is also far bigger than I imagined. I would definitely recommend this listing to others.

We had a lovely stay in Jacksonville. Connie Jo’s house was perfect. Comfortable, easy to access and definitely in the best neighborhood of Jacksonville. We easily walked to great restaurants and also the free tram into downtown. Connie Jo had great suggestions for restaurants close by and also out at the beach which was an easy drive. The house was clean and comfortable. Way better than a hotel. I would stay there again for sure and highly recommend it to other guests.

We had a great stay. It was very kid-friendly, and I especially liked that she put a latch lock on the door, which kept our wee one from escaping. Our host was fantastic and communicated very well with us throughout our stay.

Connie Jo User ProfileConnie Jo is a superhost.

My husband Leslie and I live in the Historic Riverside/Avondale area of Jacksonville FL, and are restoring our 1921 Craftsman Home. Connecting with community through volunteering, local events, gathering with friends and a passion for 'Slow Food' keeps us linked to our neighborhood and the awesome people here. We love hosting and look forward to sharing the best of Jacksonville with you.
