I live in a one bedroom one bath 700+ square foot apartment in an area of downtown Austin that is less than a mile from the Austin Convention Center but quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. It's half a block away from the flagship Whole Foods store if you're feeling healthy. There are some fantastic places to eat very close by. For some great local sandwiches, check out Lucky's Puccias or for some quicker fair via food carts check out Naan Stop and Kebabalicious. If you want to grab a beer, there are some great local bars like Dirty Bill's and Driskill Bar.
The apartment complex features a swimming pool, a fitness center and a rooftop deck. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment that you are welcome to use too! Most important for SXSW: I have wireless internet, a lot of power outlets and great cell phone reception. The apartment has a queen size bed and a couch.

Chris is a friend through a very close friend of mine from college. I have known him for approximately seven years. The two of us recently visited Chris in Austin for a long weekend. He was an excellent host, showing us the true highlights of the city, including the Capital, University of Texas, and 6th Street, of course. His apartment is gated and nicely furnished. It is centrally located in a great area of downtown and is within walking distance of many eateries, restaurants, walking/jogging trails, bars, and Whole Foods.
