The old Roman neighborhood of Trastevere and Testaccio can be reached with a pleasant walk. Close to the apartment find typical Roman restaurants and pizzerias as well as cinemas, markets, banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, shops of every kind and elegant shops. I do not live in the building but for any emergency run!
This neighborhood is nice because is lively and ever changing . In recent years there has been much transformed , leaving room for the creativity of architects and an interesting phenomenon of recovery of industrial buildings. I love to go to Eataly , a large store dedicated to the excellence of Italian food , made from the restoration of an old train . Here you can eat at one of the many restaurants or buy anything .. only Italian ! I also like to go to the MACRO , Museum of Contemporary Art was born from the renovation of an old slaughterhouse. On Sunday , however, is special, there is Portaportese . A few steps and you enter into the oldest and largest market in Rome. My advice is to wake up early to shoot calmly, without the crowds and find the best bargains . And then a walk down to the center on the bank of the river and enjoying the peace with the first lights of the sunset and the view looking with the nose . And then for an escape from everything and everyone you need to climb on the Aventine Hill , sit in the Orange Garden and relax before looking out from the terrace from which to watch Rome.

Patxi y Gemma.
There's nothing missing in this small cute and well connected apartment! ...and Antonella is a great host, cooffee is never missing for her guests ;)
It is perfect for tourist, but also for mid-long stay in Rome!
I warmly suggest to stay at Antonella's place !
we had a wonderful time in rome. antonella was a great host, she welcomed us warmly and made everything very easy for us. the appartment was exactly like in the pictures: clean, friendly with a great balcony and a well equipped kitchen. trastevere is a nice neighbourhood. the appartment is very close to the trainstation, therefor we did hear the arriving and departing trains a little at night (also with windows closed). the bed is ok for 3-4 nights if you are not having any back-issues. i would recommend antonellas place to everyone who expects a clean, warm, good located appartment for a few days in rome. thank you antonella!
Thank you Frida for you appreciation! Your feedback is really precious for me! I love to let feel the guests like at home and i'm sure that this feeling begins with a good welcome! So i'm happy that you shared this. I love to take care about everything and especially about the moment of the arrival to be there trying to give all information and my personal tips about this wonderfull city! I'm so sorry for the issue related at the bed. This is the first time a guest complains about it but i consider each guest different and with specific needs. So my priority is that everyone can have the best stay, hopefully better than what expected. I'm especially sorry not to have known when you were still there because I proceeded to replace the bed. You would not have bothered me asking this. During your stay you can call me at any time for any need. I am always available to answer your questions and as in this case, I would have done everything to fix things.I hope to see you soon in Rome also to have the opportunity to offer you a good sleep!
We strongly recommend Antonella's place. It's located very close to public transportation. In 10 minutes you can easy get by train or bus to the center of Rome.
The apartment look exactly like the pictures and has everything we needed. the kitchen accessorized in all we need to cook. we very like the balcony for relaxing in the morning with the sunrise.
Antonella is a great host. She helped as with everything we needed and even met us at the train station.
Thank you Antonella for a wonderful time in Rome!

Antonella's apartment is perfect! The location is amazing, it is right near Trastavere Station which is the main hub for getting anywhere. There is a nice little market up the road which is good if you want to save some money cooking your own diners. The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking and had everything we needed. The apartment is very clean, comfortable (it has AC), and beautiful (looks just like the picture). There was even a washing machine available for use which was great for us.
Antonella was a great host, she was very organized and provided us with a wealth of information about the area and the apartment. She even waited outside the apartment for us and remembered my picture and called my name when I was walking by completely lost. I am sure we would have spent another half an hour lost if it weren't for her saving us!
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was a great escape after a long day of walking in the city.
Also, there is a pizza restaurant about 15 mins away called Pizza 00100 that we really enjoyed (they have amazing Suppli).
We really enjoyed staying in Antonella's apartment! It's the perfect size for two people, is equipped with everything you'd need and is close to the train station. Only two stops and you're at the Vatican. We loved eating out on the little balcony, admiring the view of Rome. The closest metro station is about 10-15 minutes walk. Trastevere station is 5 minutes. The supermarket is just around the corner and there is a geletaria called Ping Pong a few minutes walk which we definitely recommend! Antonella's neighbour greeted us on arrival and we met Antonella on checkout and she was lovely. We would definitely stay here again if coming to Rome. Thanks very much, Antonella!
The apartment is exactly as you see in the pictures, extremely clean, cozy and everything works fine.
There's a wonderful Pizza few steps from there (restaurant called Albaruja, perfect for a take away pizza), and 2 supermarkets in the area (both good). You can also walk to Ostiense station and enjoy Eataly, a delicious restaurant and delicatessen (15-20minutes walking).
It's located just by Trastevere train station, so you can hear the trains if the windows are open (not a problem if close the windows).
I totally recommend to stay there, but is better know forehand that the neighborhood is not exactly Trastevere. It's a walkable distance to the heart of Trastevere (maybe around 20-25minutes walking). Although the area is well connect with buses, tram and train (the bus 170 will take you directly to Monti, my favorite area to hang out in Rome). It's also very close to Testaccio, an area with many options of restaurants.
Antonella is a great host, reliable and sweet.
Antonella was a super host; she was there to meet and greet us from an early arrival in from the US. She organized a car/driver to pick us up at FCO and that went seamlessly. The driver was waiting right outside customs and was also very friendly! Antonella ensured we were able to get connected to her Wi-Fi service prior to her leaving. The entire apartment was spick and span. It is very well laid out with plenty of storage. The location was ideal for us. We were visiting our daughter who is studying at the American University of Rome and her apartment was just a 10 minute walk, or one could hop on the tram for one stop and be there in minutes. The tram to the city is very convenient (3 to 4 minute walk) and runs on a very frequent and reliable schedule. Downtown Rome is about 15 minutes away on the tram. The Roma Trastevere train station to/from FCO airport is also just a few minutes from the apartment. Just 8 euros to the airport o/w. There is a supermarket on the next street, another great convenience. We didn't use any of the nearby restaurants, but had some amazing experiences in the restaurants in the area of Trastevere close to the river. Some amazing food at very reasonable prices, with great service. As the apartment is close to the trains one will hear some of the associated noise if the apartment windows are open; but unless one is hyper sensitive to noise it should not be an issue! For summer travelers the apartment is air-conditioned! We positively recommend this apartment; it is super value for money and Antonella is a wonderful host! Come, stay, enjoy!
The apartment is just like you see it in in the photos. Everything is near with the tram 8 and the train station, both 2 blocks away.
Excelent communication, great wi fi with a notebook and fantastic price. Highly recommended!
Antonella was a great host! Her neighbor was very welcoming and helpful as well. They were there to assist with any questions. Her place was immaculate from bedroom, to kitchen, to bathroom; it was very nice. the apartment had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. She even had free wifi and use of her laptop, which was great.
The apartment is not in the heart of the Rome, but you are within 15-20 minutes of Vatican City, Colleseum, and the likes. The location was convenient to bus and train stations, however there weren't many great places to eat, as I would have expected and liked. Although, the pizza around the corner was a good late night snack.
So, if you're looking for a clean place to stay with a wonderfully hospitable host, and don't mind a little traveling, then Antonella's place is the place to stay!
