The apartment is in our apartment house, the hermann, which is located a few meters from the public transport system of berlin. The apartment is spacious with the orientation to the courtyard rather than to the busy street.
There is a separate bedroom, living with kitchen + a large bathroom with a window + bathtub. There is a folding double bed in the living room together with another couch.
The apartment is stylishly decorated with all the things you need to feel at home when you're not.
The bathroom has a washing machine for your use during your stay.
The neighbourhood is a combination of all sides of Berlin. It's full of life + the streets have everything you need to have a great stay in Berlin.
The area is the New hip + happening part of Berlin - close by you'll find Tempelhof Flughafen where Bread + Butter takes place. There's 'Huxleys Neue Welt' where the top acts of music perform, Homes Place gym, gourmet shopping centre all within minutes of the flat.
Inside the house is strictly NO SMOKING. We have many young families with babies + small children + we ask for your consideration in keeping the apartment smoke-free!
Our house has a landscaped courtyard for being outside + for the smokers among us. I am also a 'bed lover' so you can expect a great + comfortable one in this apartment.
- Security deposit on arrival: in cash 150 € (Will be refunded on departure)
- Late arrivals after 21:00 need to pay €30 extra on arrival for the late check-in.
Excellent apartment. Clean and comfortable. Great location. Loved it!
It was the perfect alternative to an-overly price suite for three people during two weeks. Thomas, the house keeper was super helpful and always available, we had weekly room housekeeping with towel replacement. The whole place was pristine and deliciously furnished. My best remark: the bed was fantastic! I had excellent and peaceful sleep.
On the other hand, the apartment curiously vibrates when the U-bahn (subway) passes below, but even if its in a centric place, the whole time was super quiet.
It was a great time overall.
What a nice experience we had staying at the very nice, well supplied and well kept up apartment in the Neukolln area of Berlin. We were warmly greeted by Thomas, one of the housekeepers, who filled us in on the details. It suited our 2 week stay very well with the small kitchen, washing machine, and a comfortable pull out sofa. There is a wonderful grocery store/department store, Deutsche Bank, U-Bahn, bus stops, Dunkin Donuts, & McDonald's (if you get desperate) a half block away & other stores & cafes nearby. You are not in the center of the tourist area, but you can get to places around the city with the public transportation ( although you might need to make transfers). I found it interesting that you do not have to swipe you transportation tickets each time you board and wondered how many people try to get on without a ticket. We did , however, experience checkers coming around and hauling off those without a validated ticket and they do get a hefty fine.
So, I would not hesitate to rent one of Trudy's apartments as she has others to offer as well. This apartment was on the first floor which was convenient as there was no elevator for the upper floors.
Beautiful and comfortable apartment. Great location, underground round the corner. Tidy, clean and with all you need to cook.
Thomas, the landlord, very helpful and nice.
I would definitely recommend it to everybody that wants to have a great place where to stay in Berlin.
My husband and I just returned from a lovely two-week-stay in Trudy's apartment at Hermannsplatz. The location is very good, U7, U8 and several busses giving you easy access anywhere in the city. Neukölln (email hidden)ly neighborhood day and night but the apartment turned out to be surprisingly quiet.
The apartment is located on the ground floor, windows opening to the garden of the house. As the heat was intense in the city during our stay, this was a really good thing: The apartment and especially the bedroom stayed nice and cool throughout our visit. On the other hand, if you're planning on visiting during winter months, please note that the apartment might be quite dark with only very little natural light coming from the small windows.
The only downside we could think of was the lack of quality in the kitchen ware. All the knives, for example, were practically useless. We booked an apartment instead of a hotel to be able to cook some of our meals ourselves, now we had to buy a kitchen knive and a cutting board to be able to do so. Not a big thing, though, as there is a very well stocked department store next door.
This was a really lovely place right in the heart of the artsy district.
The place was really clean and exactly like the pictures. We slept and showered really well and made good use of the infusion tea pot (we are English!).
It was also great to be able to leave our bikes in the courtyard bit.
Thank you Trudy!
My girlfriend and I spent a lovely Christmas a Trudy's apartment. Just a minute's walk from Hermannplatz, we were well connected to everywhere in Berlin, and only a short walk away from one of Berlin's best streets for bars - Weserstrasse.
Although Trudy was back in Australia enjoying some winter sun, Thomas was on hand to give us the keys and tell us about the apartment before leaving us to it.
The apartment was great - it's on the ground floor, so no need to climb 4 flights of stairs as is quite normal in Berlin, and had a great little terrace around the back of the building, which I imagine would be fantastic for BBQs in the summer.
I really enjoyed my stay, and would highly recommend staying with Trudy to anyone.
My boyfriend and I have just come back from a wonderful week at Trudys flat in Neukölln. We really had an amazing time and loved the flat. It was clean, welcoming and everything you could see in the pictures. Thomas who welcomed us was also very nice and helpful. No doubt I will come back and stay again.
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Trudy's place. We arrived little early, flat was being cleaned. We agreed on a time and came back. Everything was as described, nothing less than a good hotel. Nicely decorated, well heated, good internet connection. Place is located very well in Kreuzberg, just seconds walk to Hermanplatz U-bahn. From there, you can practically go anywhere within minutes. We felt home and so you will.
My stay at Trudy's apartment was perfect! It looked exactly how it did on the photos. I was met by the housekeeper Thomas, who was very helpful and friendly, he took my suitcase up the stairs for me too! He showed me around the apartment and went through a few maps of places to go and where we were in relation to certain landmarks. The apartment was spotlessly clean, bright and modern, would highly recommend it to anyone!!!
