Trastevere (close to Monteverde area) was a working-class neighbourhood of Rome in the past and has become in the time place of traditions, arts and typical roman food (see Restaurants in Rome Trastevere in the relevant section ). The charm of this location of Rome can be barely described and corresponds to the rates of accommodations and holiday apartments available in the whole district. The alleys are full of shops, restaurants often with tables outside in the street, bars and stalls with every genre of products. The main square (Santa Maria in Trastevere) is usually full of street - artists and hosts one of the most beautiful churches of Rome we really suggest to visit: Santa Maria in Trastevere.
TRASPORTATION: From Fiumicino Airport to the apartment: by Train FR1 to Trastevere station in 30 minutes; from the apartment to the center: by tram (8) in 15 minutes.
10 Minutes from downtown, 30 minutes from the railway station, connected by bus-tram-metro airport terminal and train station.
The tram stop 8 is located approximately 300 meters and leads to Trastevere and to the center.
Trastevere Train Station is about 200 meters and is connected with the terminal Fiumicino, the main railway station Termini and the Metro B Ostiense.
Fabio is a life saver. We were booked at a horrible, dirty, disgusting hostel on the other side of the city. We desperately emailed Fabio the day we got to Rome, and he answered within an hour to accept us. The rate was fantastic, the apartment was clean, and there were beds for all of us.
Nice apartment with a good location. Have a nice stay there.
Fabio's place was quite spacious and clean. If you are looking to stay in Trastevere, this is not it. It is close to the train station, but we really struggled to work out the public transport. The flat is in quite a noisy area, but it was great and safe. I would recommend anyone to stay there as it has 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom. Thanks for having us stay Fabio. Ciao
We enjoyed our stay at Fabio's apartment. We didn't get to meet him but the check in and out process was well organised. Fabio's apartment was clean and had awesome air conditioning. It's easy to get around from Fabio's just take the number 8 tram to get to central attractions such as the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain etc. We even walked back several times from near these attractions with a pit stop to Trastevere for dinner, but we enjoy walking.
We loved this apartment and the location in Rome! The pictures make it look a bit larger than it is but we stayed with 5 people and it worked out just fine! It is clean and comfortable with everything you need to enjoy your stay and great wifi! The apartment is walking distance from Roma Trastevere train station as well as the stop for the buses. By Tram 8 you can easily get to the Colosseum and then if you take Bus 64 from there it's just a few minutes to Vatican City - so really the perfect location to experience Rome. Trastevere night life was so fun - in the main plaza we had a glass of wine and enjoyed watching magicians, belly dancers, and fire dancers! It was so lively and fun to just walk around and explore. Fabio was great to work with - accurate and friendly! I definitely would suggest this apartment to anyone who's on a budget and just looking for a simple, easy place to explore from!
The pictures made it seem to be a bit more lavish, but it was still very comfortable and nice. There was a bus stop a couple blocks down which made transportation to the city a bit easier as well as a train station a couple blocks away which made getting to and from the airport affordable and easy. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to spend a few nights in Rome that is a little off the beaten path but still within reach of all the fun.
Clean an correct. Nice location.
