Great hosts, excellent communication, clean place in great location. High floor with many stairs so pack light or have those calves ready for a workout ;) Thanks again for a great stay

We loved staying at Anton and Cecile's apartment--we were grateful it was right next to Vondel park, a quick walk to the museum plaza, on a street with lovely restaurants, pubs and cafes, outside of tourist madness but a very scenic and pleasant walk to the historical center of Amsterdam. The apartment is also well-equipped, even better than advertised, and tastefully decorated. The hosts couldn't be better communicators, more willing to help, or more responsible and kind. We loved staying here and would do so again next time we visit Amsterdam.

We were in Cecile’s Apartment for five nights. The location is brilliant. We managed to go to city center by bus and tram, all within the walking distance from the apartment. Yet park and museums are all within walking distance. The kitchen is well equipped and all in good working condition. Shower ran great and temperature perfect. Several Groceries are all close by. Restaurants are everywhere. Wifi connection is fast through out our stay in the entire property. The entire property is clean and well décor. We didn’t meet Cecile, but her neighbor Carin and her son Daniel welcome us at the ground floor entrance and make us feel home immediately. Carin gave me a great introduction about the apartment and Daniel took me for a short walk around; get me oriented where park, museum, grocery, bike rental etc. about. Thank you both Carin and Daniel.

Our stay at the Vondelpark Apartment was perfect. We stayed early September, 2 adults, 2 children aged 7 and 9. Our Host, Cecile, did everything to make us feel welcome. Her emails answered all my questions prior to the trip and the apartment did not disappoint. We absolutely loved the decor, it is tastefully done and there is everything you need to make you feel at home. It was the ideal place to stay. We couldn't fault the location - so near to all the museums, Vondelpark and Tramstops. Everything was well within walking distance. The stairs up to the apartment concerned us before the trip, but to be honest, it's not really a major issue. Our kids took great joy counting the steps each time. We would certainly return again in the future. If you are staying in Amsterdam, this apartment is perfect....

Cecile was very friendly, welcoming and prompt to communicate. She provided much valuable information prior to our departure to Amsterdam (and even checked in with us a couple times during our stay to make sure things were going well) and really couldn't have been any nicer!! Her friend greeted us upon arrival (Cecile was away) and showed us around the apartment, which was clean, comfortable, cozy and nicely decorated. The location was fantastic!--centrally located and close to the trams that made it very easy to get around the city. A supermarket was conveniently located just around the corner (as is the Vondelpark) and the museums and upscale shopping were within easy walking-distance. ...And the view from the apartment was fantastic!!! Being on the top floor with big windows made it very light, bright and pleasant, even on rainy days. The master bedroom was phenomenal, with plenty of storage space and great decor. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a large refrigerator (by European standards). There were only a few negatives (otherwise, I'd give it a 5 star rating). One being the lack of storage space in the second bedroom (other than a small, high open shelf with hangers) and the bed being on the floor; the slow drainage in the shower that caused water to soak the bath mat; the thin wall between the bedrooms that made sound travel easily between them (though not really a problem for us as 3 adults). The oven wasn't working (also not a problem for us as we dined out most of the time) and although there was a microwave/convection oven in a closet, it was difficult to get to and figure out how to use). The drain in the shower was also very slow, which caused water to seep into the bathmat and on the floor with each use, but hopefully that can be easily fixed. All in all, it was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely consider staying there again and recommend it to others, especially if small improvements could be made to make it ideal.

We had a fantastic experience staying in Cecile's apartment. Cecile was quick to respond to our request to stay in her apartment and was very helpful with directions to the apartment. It was our first time staying in Amsterdam and the apartment is situated in a perfect location, only a short walk to the city centre and to the supermarket or restaurants. It's very beautifully decorated and was a perfect size for the three of us, with room to spare. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit! Highly recommended!

We were welcomed by Fabrice, friend of Cecile, and he explained everything. The location of the house is perfect, really central but still quiet, supermarkets and public transport very close. The museums are 300-400 m., the start of the pedestrian area in Leidseplein, just 300 m. The house is exactly as described. It is tastefully decorated, and has everything you coul need. Just take into account that is a fourth floor by stairs, and for us carrying a 13 kg toddler was not that easy. But as conclusion the apartement is remarkable!

Anton And Cecile User ProfileAnton And Cecile is a superhost.

Anton and I both have a passion for travelling and diving.
Anton is a dive instructor and I did underwater videography for years.
Koh Tao is a great place in general, and even more for divers. That's the reason we decided to built an house on the island. If you choose to go there, I hope you'll appreciate it as much as we do.
And if you come to Amsterdam when we're in Thailand, we also offer our apartment in the city.
