An ideal apartment situated one block from Union Square and very close to Greenwich Village and the East Village. This location is hard to beat as you cannot find a more convenient apartment for traveling and excursion-ing...and then getting home quickly to relax after those long days - near all subway lines, walkable to anywhere downtown.
A bi-level apartment with one full bedroom (incredibly comfortable queen size bed), a spacious open living room and kitchen (with utensils/appliances), an open loft above the kitchen, a full bathroom, plenty of closet space and modern amenities (leather sofa and chair, floor seats, big HDTV with basic and Roku channels (HBO, Showtime, ESPN, Netflix, Amazon), WiFi, air conditioner, heater, board games, a great foot/ calf massager, and for those who want to do yoga/pilates while traveling -- yoga mats, blocks, and pillows are provided too).
Accommodations-wise, this apartment can fit 6 people (2 people can sleep in the queen-sized bed in the bedroom upstairs, 2 people can sleep on the pull-out coach in the living room which is even more comfortable than the upstairs bed, and 2 people can sleep on the Queen-sized AirMattress in the loft (or in the living room),which is considered the most comfy air mattress out there. The one drawback to the loft is the narrow ladder and 5 feet high ceiling.
A maid will come in and clean prior to your arrival so the place will be clean. Also, clean sheets will be on the bed and fresh lines and bath-towels will be provided in the bathroom. I also leave behind travel-sized shampoo, razors, shaving cream, soap, hairbrush, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, and a clothing steamer (to get rid of those wrinkles) for those who don't want to worry about these small amenities.
There will be multiple sets of keys for your convenience, in case of couples/friends booking together but who want to see different things during the stay (please let me know in advance).
I have also put together an Apartment Guide Book that references nearby restaurants, amenities (banks, atm's, groceries, etc.) and a FAQ on transportation into and out of NYC.
Drawbacks of apartment to consider: Loft is 5 feet high, narrow ladder to get up the loft, and air conditioner can be a bit noisy sometimes - you will notice the air conditioner on (I have plenty have fans if that is the case).
The apartment is to be used only for those intended to stay there - so no extra guests (meaning, guests who do not pay) over for entertaining purposes.
There is absolutely no smoking in the apartment and no pets.

Greg was an incredibly efficient, helpful, host. I could not rate him or his apartment any more highly. The apartment is in a great location - just minutes from Union Square subway, and East and Greenwich Villages. It is huge, for a NYC apartment. It is well appointed. It was totally perfect for our group of five.
Greg and the apartment are both amazing! The apartment is exactly like it is pictured and described. The Union Square area is great with enough food and attractions, as well as easy access to public transportation. Greg is a great host that is very organized and helpful. He anticipated all my needs and questions, making the stay seamless and stress free. Thanks Greg!
Greg was a great host! He went above and beyond in giving us advice about the city. He had a detailed book to help with every aspect of the city and the apartment. The apartment was clean and even bigger than it appears in the picture. The neighborhood is fantastic and is within walking distance to anything you want.
Great experience! The apartment was exactly as pictured. Greg left a detailed instruction book that held the answers to any question you might think of relating the the apartment and the surrounding neighbourhood.
The location is excellent, and there is a lot to do very close by. It also felt like a safe neighbourhood. We enjoyed the farmers' market in Union Square.
Greg made us feel very welcome.
This was our first Airbnb experience and our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was enough space for us all to spread out, clean, well-stocked and in a great location. Greg was extremely responsive whenever we had a question (mostly from me about logistics) and provided clear instructions about everything -- from how to work the tv, to restaurants in the immediate area. I would highly recommend this apartment.
Greg was great and his apartment awesome. We made arrangements to collect keys (which was easy and not cumbersome) and Greg has prepared a booklet with details about the apartment as well as the local area, very helpful! When back in New York, Greg will be our first port of call!

Hi all - I'm a California transplant living in NYC and have been here for 8 years and now can call myself a New Yorker. I'm quite active around the city - love going to Central Park for a run, walking around many of NYC's unique neighborhoods, going to various restaurants around the city, using the passport (thank you AirBnb!) and seeing shows/museums.
I'm a genuine and conscientious person who wants to make your stay in NYC enjoyable. I love this city and very happy to to help others enhance their experience here. Feel free to ask any questions about the city of things to see or do.
