Our mobile home sits on 2 acres in a very private, quiet, country setting just 10 miles south of Iuka.

It’s an older mobile home, so it’s certainly nothing fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, and inviting.

The location is ideal for anyone visiting Pickwick or any of the other nearby lakes. There is plenty of parking space and easy turn around for anyone pulling a boat.

We’re an easy drive to two state parks-JP Coleman 22 miles north and Tishomingo State Park 11 miles south.

The space
Our place is very quiet, peaceful, and relaxing.

It’s family and kid-friendly with books and board games. There is no WiFi, cable or satellite service, however, there is a tv and DVD player with a variety of 40+ movie choices.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and other basic cooking utensils for meal preparation. There is a small (17.5 inch) outdoor charcoal grill for your use as well.

There’s plenty of outdoor space for quietly sipping your morning coffee or listening to the crickets chirp at night.

Other things to note
Hotel accommodations are limited in our area, with the nearest being 30 miles away. This is a great alternative for anyone visiting or passing through our small town.

Location

Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States

Tishomingo County has been described as a hidden jewel. Our property is centrally located and an easy drive to many beautiful sights and points of interest.

Downtown Iuka is great for a stroll to many small-town shops including Pray Pottery, Uncle Shirley’s Emporium, O’ Claire’s, The Apron Museum, The Curated Cottage, The Snack Bar (If you've never had a slug burger, you must try one.), The Old Tishomingo County Courthouse (the reason Iuka is known as the "Marriage Capital"), and the Mineral Springs Park.

For anyone interested in fishing or boating, we are an easy drive to many area lakes-Pickwick, Eastport, Millcreek, Bay Springs, Crow's Neck, and JP Coleman State Park. Tishomingo State Park offers canoe rentals, disc golf, and hiking trails.

We are an hour’s drive from Elvis Presley’s birthplace in Tupelo, MS; Shiloh National Military Park in Shiloh, TN; and Helen Keller’s birthplace, Ivy Green, in Tuscumbia, AL. Just choose your direction, and there’s plenty to see!

I’m a retired educator with 28 years of service as a special education teacher/middle school counselor. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have 3 children. Our 2 adult children have left the nest-one lives in South Carolina and the other in Nashville, TN. If life was suppose to slow down after retirement, then I must’ve gotten in the wrong lane! My days are full and busy, but in a positive and enjoyable way. I homeschool our youngest daughter, teach a teen Sunday school class, and enjoy renovation projects that my husband and I have undertaken. I like to be busy and honestly don’t know what to do with “free time”. I find much fulfillment and joy in helping others when I have the ability to do so!
