Sausalito 1 BR Love Nest. Intimate Cave + Professional Earthlite Massage Table. Saturated with good vibes and soothing touches!

The Space

Sausalito is a Vacation Paradise!
This fun, quirky, romantic town is full of life, international residents, great food, romantic walks and epic, natural beauty likened to that of the Riviera. My one bedroom apartment is less than 10 minutes walking to the ferry boats, galleries, and many amazing restaurants….Sausalito is incredibly safe for solo women travelers.

{{{Yes!}}} This space will be entirely yours during your stay here! Enjoy close proximity to the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, and Stinson Beach, plus it's a quick 10 minute drive to San Francisco! Napa/ Sonoma Wine Country is not too far for a day trip***(((See my Guidebook on Air B and B for Ferry information and other local info)))

  • Communication with Candice was prompt and questions were answered though there weren't many. Quite a few changes have been made in the apartment since the pictures were taken. I was surprised then we opened the door on arrival. I thought we weren't in the right place. The apartment is located behind a restaurant and overlooks its roof with the air conditioner which is noisy. Occasionally the odors from the dumpsters behind the restaurant made their way up to the apartment though not often. There are two older homes next to the restaurant that the apartment looks down on which are quite charming and very "Sausalito." Because of the humidity that the Bay Area gets, the apartment smelled like mildew though it was very clean. Opening the windows helped but never gave the space a sense of fresh air. The heavy curtains that have been put up made opening some of the windows a challenge. The apartment is spacious and we took advantage of the kitchen. Good cafes and grocery stores are nearby. It was a short walk to the water where we rented kayaks from Sea Trek. Evening walks along the waterfront were nice too. We slept well and were comfortable there.

    Response from Candice:

    Dear Natalie,
My ad says, "My Place is not The Ritz. It has its little quirks."

My sincere apologies for the negative experience that you have reported. It was the hottest week of the year and that, I cannot control. This sort of heat is rare in Sausalito and unusual. You are correct. I have added thick fabric curtains to the space to create a container to keep in heat and keep out cold. (Cold being the more common challenge of this space)) In addition, I live near a restaurant and decided to add fabric to walls and windows to repel light and sound…For me, the smells of food from next door and the clanking of plates remind me of Italy…I like that immensely.

Yes. I need new pictures of my space. I have been very honest about this in "the public profile" of my space. I have added curtains and rugs to the interior. I have also added an air purifier to repel noise and keep the air flowing… I live in my space and share intermittently when I travel. This is not my profession or main business. I am a self employed person who strives to make the world a better place through the healing arts. I am a teacher, not a professional Air B and B specialist. Most people who stay in my space adore it. I like to share it as I travel for work and keep a home base in Marin County.

I had a "home economics teacher" stay in my space last summer. She personally called me to give me five gold stars for cleanliness and organization. That speaks volumes.

To Address Annoying Comment on My cleaning Fee: Especially for long term guests ((which you were)) The cleaning costs are actually MORE than I actually charge on Air B and B. Why? Well, first, I pay my maid what she asks. She is a Mom, she cleans blinds, baseboards and does a fantastic job. I trust her and she is reliable. I make sure she is happy so that she feels appreciated, not exploited. In addition, I dry clean bedding and linens with a professional cleaner to ensure physical and energetic cleanliness. I publish the name and phone number of my maid in my Air B and B guide, so that my guests have access to her. Therefore, I do not appreciate your innuendo or comment to insinuate that I am charging anything beyond a respectful, humane wage.

In terms of air flow, there is also a sky light in the ceiling that opens to catch Pacific Coast wind…Even on rare hot days, it brings much needed relief…

With the crazy rising costs of Bay Area living, its a "love nest" for people who appreciate home nesting comfort at bohemian prices….

    With Gratitude!
Thank Goodness for Air B and B...
    Big Smile.

  • Candice's home was perfect for us. The place is spotlessly clean, great bed, soft clean sheets & towels, appliances were all top notch. While we didn't get to meet her, Candice was available by phone to answer my questions right away. I wanted a text for the lockbox code-she responded immediately. She was very helpful when I wanted to know how to play a DVD -again -super responsive. You can tell alot about someone from their home and initial impressions -Candice is someone we really like.
Good location, Fred's 1/2 block away is great for breakfast. Easy street parking. Highly recommend her place.

  • Candace was out of town, but still got back to me by telephone in mere minutes after I got fully registered with AirBnB and made the reservation. This was very reassuring since it was getting late in the day and we were still unsure where we'd be lodging.
The apartment was clean and very well organized. Everything was easy to understand and navigate, especially internet and creature comforts. She even helped me recover quickly from a human foible with aplomb.
In addition to being a great efficiency apartment, the restaurants at the end of the street, as well as in the nearby marina, are fantastic. Plus, it's an easy walk into downtown Sausalito.
Check out the Friday night jazz festivals and you'll be glad you tried this slice of paradise.
    Thanks, Candace!

  • I had a wonderful stay in this apartment, the decor is soothing and I would recommend it as a 'love nest' if that's what you are looking for, just in the right place for easy access to local amenities, and you can see the bay from the balcony.
Everything you could what is provided so book it and have a never to be forgotten experience..

  • We had a lovely stay in Candice's apartment in Sausalito. It was extremely comfortable and clean with all the facilities you would need and more. Candice was very welcoming and had thoughtfully left notes on the apartment and good places to eat and visit together with maps. The location is great - just a short walk into the main shopping street, and everything you need just a few minutes walk away - supermarket, laundry, good cafes. Sausilito is a great place to stay for shorter or longer visits. We would love to go back and to stay at Candice's again - the space is actually better than the pictures and description so it's not accurately described - but in a good way!

  • Candice's place is totally dreamy. I was participating in an art festival in Sausalito right across the street from her place, and was able to just tumble out of bed straight into the park where it was held! She has thought of everything. There are sweet little notes everywhere telling you how to turn things on or off, There was a folder there with all of the details of where to go, and what to do in the area. It is within walking distance to so many things! Unfortunately i didn't get to meet her since i arrived the day after she left for a trip, but she made everything super clear and easy for me. She was a total delight!! The bed was super comfy, the water was hot and pressure was awesome! .... and the back garden is a little slice of paradise. You can't go wrong here! Thanks a million Candice!

  • We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and we loved the location. Not right in the middle of everything but close enough to walk to the center of town.

  • Candice's place was great! It's clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. It's close to Sausalito's main drag and there's a cool little coffee shop/diner across the street. Very easy drive to Muir Woods and to SF. Plus parking was easy to find on the street. Candice was easy to communicate with and she was accommodating. Her Netflix account came in handy after a long day in the woods and Muir beach. :-) Her apt is a wonderful place to relax. Plus great views! My partner and I would stay there again.

Just a note: the apt is on the second floor and there are only stairs. This was not a problem for us but might be for others.

Tamalpais, the prominent peak in Marin County, is my church. I hope that you will feel the powerful healing energy and creative juices that this area offers. I rent to guests that have good energy, are strait up with me, respectful, alive and transparent! I feel best accepting reservations with people who have a profile picture, are phone number verified and are connected via some social network. Of course reviews are exceptionally wonderful! Originally from Texas, I have been on the West Coast since 1995. I have lived in Sausalito for 10 years so, I know Marin County and Sausalito well. I am down to earth, fun, grounded, practical and discerning! A lover of nature, the outdoors, spa, art, food and travel, I can point you in some wonderful directions around the area! I have traveled extensively solo around the world and love to meet people from all over the globe! My apartment is not the Ritz and has it's little quirks! Yet, I am attentive to details that make this sanctuary feel warm and inviting. When people walk in they often comment how great it feels to be in my space! Furnishings are top notch, space is intimate, the books and films will inspire awe, the air is fresh, the neighborhood is up scale and safe. The views are beautiful! I am always looking for ways to make the apartment more hospitable and am improving it as I discover your needs! It is a feel good spot! I hope to host you here! Sincerely, Warmly, Candice
