This is a lovely one-bedroom apartment on the first level of a restored former art deco hotel in Darlinghurst, one of Sydney's most desirable locations.
You simply cannot beat this location - walking distance to all Sydney's major attractions, home to hidden bars and great cafes/restaurants, and just seconds from the centre of the city next to Hyde Park. The apartment has a beautiful art deco feel with wooden floors and a variety of interesting modern industrial-style furniture.
55 inch TV with Foxtel (Sports), Bluetooth speakers for your music, Nespresso coffee machine and a variety of flavours to help yourself, full modern kitchen and everything you need, and a rooftop terrace with city views.
IMPORTANT: Please note the bathroom is an ensuite located off the bedroom (my room), which is of course a little bit inconvenient but I keep my bedroom door open and treat the apartment like a big spacious studio. It doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you, but it is something just to keep in mind.
Interaction with Guests
I'm friendly and social but also very busy, so sometimes I'll be around and happy to have a chat, share a meal or even pop down to a secret local bar for a drink, while other times I'll be at work, getting some things done on laptop or out giving you the place to yourself. I'm always a phone call away with any questions.
Darlinghurst is one of Sydney's most convenient and interesting locations. It is right next to the centre of the city, the cafe culture of Surry Hills, the famous harbour, the nightlife of Oxford St and Kings Cross, and plenty more. You can literally step outside the building and be surrounded by exciting options for what to do, eat or drink.
There is public transport very close by in the form of multiple train stations and bus stops. Wherever you're going there will be an easy way to get there, but for most destinations you will even be able to walk.
Hi, I love traveling and I've visited over 40 countries in my 30 years. But I always come back to Sydney, and this studio is where I live (don't worry, when you're staying here I leave it clean and tidy then stay somewhere else, and I don't drop in unless there's an emergency!). I work in the city as a website editorial manager, which is my new career since I left the hotel industry where I was an assistant manager for many years. When I travel I would much prefer to stay somewhere real, the kind of place a local lives, as opposed to a hotel with no personality. I think you'll enjoy my studio - it's not fancy or massive, but it's cosy, comfortable, filled with all my personal travel photography, and in a fantastic location. I've been here 2 years and I love coming home after a long day at work. As your Airbnb host I'm just a phone call away, but essentially you are renting the studio for your private use so I won't be around unless you need me. Having said that, I'm more than happy to answer any questions about the area or give you my tips for the best places to eat and drink.
