A wonderful Pied-à-terre in Montreal! The room was comfortable and well-lit with a lovely balcony. It was very quiet there, but close enough to the action on the main thoroughfares of Le Plateau. The Building and Apartment are clean and beautiful. Sylvie and Robbie were friendly and accommodating and made our stay very comfortable.
Sylvie and Robbie have a great old house right in the heart of the plateau. They were very nice when we arrived, gave us some advice on local parks and let us do our thing. At checkout they were also accommodating, letting us leave our bags in their suite until we had to leave for the airport. The little patio off of the suite was also a great place for us to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Overall, great! Thanks again!
Sylvie welcomed us to her charming and sunny third floor studio apartment with balcony, and left us well-stocked with coffee, tea, water, juice, and even some beer. Thank you! Robbie came by, too, and later helped us avoid parking tickets when we inadvertently neglected to move our car on street-sweeping day. Again, thank you! The apartment is well-situated, close to great shopping and restaurants, and close to everything worth seeing in Montreal.
Well, there's not much I can say about Sylvie and Robbie that hasn't already been said. They are absolutely wonderful Airbnb hosts, and booking with them is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Montreal who wishes to stay in the Plateau neighborhood. They provided refreshments upon our arrival and were quickly responsive when we had questions. They were also kind enough to save a parking spot for us on the lone occasion we had to move our car. (NOTE: If you have a car, you will rarely have to move it, for Montreal is a very walkable/bike-able/public transit-friendly city.) Almost everything you would need in terms of household amenities was available, and there is a grocery store and plenty of shops and banks nearby. Lastly, Houdini the cat is lord of the manor and the block, and if he his happy, then you will be happy as well.
If at all possible, we will definitely be booking with them when we return to Montreal!
Great location! Beautiful place that is newly renovated. The perfect place to stay if you're going to Osheaga. Sylvie is lovely and a gracious host.
My husband, baby, little dog and I stayed at Sylvie & Robbie's studio for 5 nights. Everything was fantastic!
We didn't meet Sylvie but communication with her before was easy. Robbie met us and helped us with our suitcase. He is very friendly and have is an orientation if the unit. There was coffee and beverages for us; what a nice touch!
The studio is just like the photos and just stunning. The large, clean window fills the studio with gorgeous natural light. The small balcony is a gem and had 3 chairs. What's cute is that the unit is made for t. It was a bit humid (end if July) when we were there so the AC was helpful. We had plenty of space and baby slept on the twin bed.
The location in Le Plateau neighborhood is just wonderful. Beautiful, tree lined streets to walk to the metro, boutiques, cafes, the park, etc. Felt very safe even in evenings to walk with our little family. Probably the best neighborhood to base a trip in Montreal in.
The studio is on the 3rd floor and the first set of steps is outside on a spiral staircase; no elevator - might be an issue for some. We were careful so it was fine.
I highly recommend this unit and would love to come back!
