This is our largest room with a King size poster bed, with sitting area, one extra long twin is usually set up in the dormer. This room displays views of Silver Lake and the cascading lawns and gardens. Private Ensuite bathroom with shower with seat, double vanity sinks.

Stonehouse Manor is a Nationally Registered Historic Seacoast Cottage offering a unique ocean and country retreat in historic Popham Beach, Maine. We offer year-round serenity in a private, peaceful setting. We are centrally located between Boston and Acadia National Park on the secluded shores of Silver Lake. Watch the seals in the Kennebec River and walk around the white sand beaches to the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean.


Stonehouse Manor is a family run Bed and Breakfast since 1996. Walk down to the shores of Silver Lake with your morning coffee or tea and listen to waves of the ocean crashing just hundreds of feet away through the treeline. Stonehouse Manor has acres of expansive lawns and lush gardens and landscape. Lay in the hammock with a book or walk the beach, your options are unlimited with outdoor activities. If the fog rolls in, cozy up by the fire and read a book in the parlor.


The Innkeepers, Jane and Tim are gracious and hospitable hosts. You will leave the table feeling full of good conversation as well as the plentiful breakfast. You may want to take one Jane's fresh muffins for a perfect mid day snack.

The grounds have expansive lawns sloping down to shore of Silver Lake. Take your pick, you can swim, float, kayak, canoe, and fish on the Maine coastline. Toss the horseshoe, or swing the mallet in a croquet match, roast s'mores in the fire pit, your options are endless of how to enjoy your stay.



Popham Beach State Park, Fort Popham and Fort Baldwin are all within walking distance.

After a day of exploring or relaxing come back to the Stonehouse and enjoy watching the sunset on the veranda or relax by the fire in the living room.

We love it here in Popham and would like to invite everyone to experience the wonder that we have experienced living and raising our family here. At the beach, sitting outside under the copper beech, rocking on the veranda, napping in a hammock to the sounds of the surf and birds, sitting by the fire or snuggled in bed with a great book it is a feeling of peace and tranquility. Better yet sharing it with those you love over the freshest seafood, games and interesting conversations. You won't want to leave. It is a mystery as to the tranquil vibe- where for centuries the native people gardened and fished and hunted and enjoyed the wonder that this little hamlet brings to all who come in peace.
