Hi, we have a nice room with a double bed available. Located 10 minutes walking distance from Cobh town centre, where the train can take you into Cork city centre.
Love of animals is a must as I am a zoologist and we have critters of all kinds.
Ash was a great host, and Cobh is a beautiful seaside town. I was there in January and two days was plenty of time to get to know the town.
Ash picked me up from the station and drove me to their comfortable home, which has a wonderful view of the water. The bedroom was clean, the bed was comfortable, and Ash provided two pillows with different levels of firmness, which was nice. I asked for a towel and borrowed some shampoo and conditioner.
The price is low, the ambience is casual and the breakfast is self-service.
There are several dogs, cats and birds, which all made me happy.
Ash is an exceptionally intelligent woman who loves and studies animals. She and Thomas were great hosts. Thank you!
Our stay with Ash & Thomas has been fantastic, they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. They are a very friendly and accommodating couple. The dogs and cats are very friendly too!. Ash and Thomas kindly extended our stay for another week as we needed to stay longer in Cobh. The house is very modern, and our room is superb. Only a 10 minute walk to town, and 5 minute taxi ride to retail park with Aldi and Lidl supermarkets. We have made full use of the kitchen since we arrived and really have been able to treat it as a home away from home, all in all a very pleasant stay. As advertised this house has many animals living here, so people not used to pets may find it difficult, however if you are an animal lover then no problems at all. We stayed here with our 6 year old and 3 year old daughter's and the dogs and cats were fine with them, Thomas even took the kids out to walk the dogs! If you are looking for a friendly happy home away from home stay then this is a 10 out of 10.
Very nice and clean double bed room in a warm and cozy house. Ash and Thomas are both smart and interesting people who take care and were very gently and kindly, they also offered me a nice home made breakfast in the morning in their very panoramic kitchen. The house, as clearly described, is populate also by several lovely animals, pets and puppies: however the guest room is well separated from them. Definitely if you are around Cork and want to enjoy some rest in a lovely town near the sea you should come to Cobh and rest at Ash house.
Ash was very welcoming, and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We got some extra cuddles from the two kittens, definitely a plus. We only stayed one night and wanted to get up early anyway, but it was pretty noisy in the morning with the dogs and the birds. Something to note if you are a light sleeper.
Ash was a great hostess, I felt like one of the family - with Tomas, and the dogs and cats. My room was very comfortable and clean, location was great and view of the harbour was beautiful. Thanks Ash!
A very pleasant stay . I will stop by again when I go to Cork. It's nice to see that your money will help abandoned animals. P.S. very nice room
