The Cabin is located on the site of Wooden Wheel Vineyards and Winery. For over 80 years this building served as a summer kitchen and wood shed for the main house, which was removed in the 60's. It was turned into a weekend cabin in the 90's and remodeled for your enjoyment in 2018.
On site you can enjoy free wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard and winery. If the urge strikes you, you can have some R&R by helping out in the vineyard. Or, just take a walk back to our pond/timber.

The space
The Cabin has 5 rooms on the lower floor: kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom, , dining and living room. The loft has 2 non-private rooms with 3 beds.

Guest access
We have off street parking that is soley for use by our guests. The entire house is open for your use and by special request laundry facilities may be available.

Since the structure has been added onto a couple of times there are steps between some of the rooms. It does not provide access to rooms for wheel chair bound guests.

Other things to note
Sorry, but we do not allow pets.

We are surround by corn and bean fields but we are just 4 miles to Keota and 14 miles to either Washington or Sigourney.
Kalona is 20 miles, Fairfield is 28 miles and Iowa City is 35 miles. An easy drive to all.

Lives in Keota, Iowa
My wife and I sold our insurance agency to our son and returned to our farm in SE Iowa planted 7 acres of grapes and now produce about 5,000 gallons of wine per year. We have also converted a barn built by me Great-Great Grandparents to an event center for groups as large as 300+. Sounds like work but it is so much more fun than selling insurnace and we love meeting all of the people that stop and try our wines.
