About This Listing
Located BY FOOT 5 minutes from downtown and 10 minutes from the famous boulevard de la Croisette (regarding comments left about this, juts know it has only been a little bit more in summer 2012 because of temporary works in the train station), in the charming city of Cannes on the French Riviera, this flat is tastefully decorated.
The friendly owners are available to help visitors make the most of their trip. Their knowledge and love of the region make the difference, in this very touristic place that has so much to give, where vacationers need information to make their choice.
Beyond Cannes, famous for its film festival and second best known city in France after Paris, Riviera offers unforgettable visits by train, bus, car or boat in other cities like Nice, Saint-Tropez or Monaco, easily accessible destinations, especially in june.
Located in an old building whose clock, on the roof, gives its name to the residence and belongs to the historical heritage of the city, the flat is a 5 minute walk only (by foot or car) to reach the railway station - from where intercity bus lines also start -, and a 15 minute walk from the bus station.
Double glazing. Bathroom with bathtub. High ceiling. First floor with elevator. Separated kitchen. Washing machine.
Many shops within walking distance (markets, grocery...)

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights. It is easy and quick to get to from the train station and the beach/downtown Cannes. We had to wait about 20 minutes after the agreed upon check in time outside of the apartment, but we did get in and the rest of the check in process went smoothly. They apartment has a large bathroom. The kitchen had everything you need if you want to cook and eat in the apartment. The fold out bed was comfortable enough. The apartment also had beach mats and an umbrella that we got a lot of use out of! We asked for one 2 Go Internet and it was verrrrry slow. But this might have been our fault, we didn't know what to expect. Michele was nice about us asking for it last minute and had her very nice friend meet us at the apartment to set it up. My only problem with the apartment was with heat and the early morning noise. Michele did give us a fan but it did little to cool down the apartment which stayed much hotter at night than the outside. We had to keep the window open throughout the night but the street in front on the building is pretty noisy in the morning. My recommendation is to stay here in the fall or early spring when you can close the window and still be comfortable.
It was amazing! We were very well received.
The flat is perfect for 3 people. Everything was clean and the space is enough. It's great for the price.
The apartment was perfect for 3 people. It was pretty close to shopping and the beach. The host was extremely friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant stay in a very nice apartment - great value for money and Michele was very nice throughout the process...
Couple of things to note: walk to beach is a bit more than 10 mins probably 20 - 25 mins depending on which beach you are going to.
Train station is nice and close - 7-8 min walk
All in all, I would definitively recommend this for 2 people. For Cannes, this is a bargain and the kitchen gives you the option of cooking in, as Cannes can be pricey to eat out every night...

About the Host, Michèle
We are a family that likes to help people in their stay, as we know many good places on the French Riviera, and not only the ones that sometimes become unfortunately "worse" or more expensive once they have received many reviews.
