  • We got the keys from Kalus' mum, who was very nice and showed us everything we needed.

It was an absolutely gorgeous flat, and we both wish we could have stayed longer.

Thanks again, and hope we tidied well enough.

  • Our stay in Copenhagen was great! Klaus has a beautiful, comfortable, cozy, clean home! The flat is ideally located flat near many great restaurants and shops in Vestebro. The neighborhood has many families living there, which made us feel safe walking to and from the flat even at night.

It was easy to check-in and everything was as we expected it to be from the posting and photos. We were greeted by Klaus' mom, who was a lovely and charming woman who showed us around the flat. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the unit in the middle of a two-week trip through Europe!

I would definitely recommend this host and flat to friends and family staying in Copenhagen.

  • Klaus was a last minute hero for me and my friend from The Netherlands! We needed a place quick and he responded before I could search for another place I liked as much... He was very attentive and easy to communicate with; on-time and ready to give us the low down as soon as we arrived. Apartment was in perfect condition and ready with clean linens. I loved his collections, books, & especially the audio setup ;) Let's just say it was very Danish.

Very very well priced and super comfy! The apartment is literally located on one of my personal favorite blocks in all of Copenhagen. Excellent 'up-and-coming' restaurants, cafes, and bars within blocks. He doesn't list my fave spots on his map so I'll just write 'em out for anyone who reads this— (Coffee) Kaffe & Vinyl, (Sweets & Coffee) Granola, (Restaurant) BioMio, (Simple brunch cafe & bar) PatePate, (and Bars) Karriere, Jolene, and Mesteren & Lærlingen (which always has great music)!

In a long sentence, its simply a perfect place for the young at heart to have a Dane good time—in other words: not approved by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark.

  • We had a wonderful stay over the weekend at Klaus' place. Unfortunately we couldn't meet him in person, but by seeing the apartment and analyzing the books we figured he must be a cool guy.
There was even a street party right in front of the house, which was quite nice. We went to a concert in the evening and when we came back, shortly after midnight, they stopped playing music. So it was not loud during the night.

Actually we wanted to make Margaritas and mix them in the blender, as Klaus suggested, but then we went for Mojitos instead, while listening to the stereo playing the music from our IPod. It was great.

Klaus' clean and tidy apartment is not only a bed to stay in, it is a place to feel good and comfortable. It is perfectly located and there is everything you wish.
We were so happy not having stayed in a Hotel or Hostel. Me and my friends can absolutely recommend staying there.

  • The space was beautiful, we really loved the flat. It was VERY spacious and had a great design! And it was a surprise to us that we had the whole place to ourselves! We were met by Klaus's mom who gave us a quick tour and explained the area, she was very sweet. Klaus left an informative sheet explaining the in's and out's - it was great. He even offered for us to be able to laundry, which was great as we had been traveling for a month. The courtyard area was nice, we sat out side and had some coffee and a cigar, it was nice and relaxing. There was a great coffee shop downstairs as well.

The only drawback was that the neighborhood was extremely loud at night, which made it difficult for sleeping. We were there on a weekend, so some noise is expected, however there was a huge party going on in the street area which lasted pretty much the entire night into the morning about 5am. We were not sure if that was a one time thing or consistent with the bar/restaurant at the end of the block, but boy was it loud.

The next night there was no party, but for some reason it was still extremely loud people yelling and playing music. Which is weird because during the day is was very quiet and charming.

We rented bikes near by for our stay to get around, which helped us a lot - as the train system was not as efficient as other cities we had been traveling in. The flat is located near some cool restaurants and we walked to the Tivoli gardens easily.

The flat was clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, again the space was awesome but we would probably stay in a different neighborhood if we went back.

  • Highly Recommended. Thanks Klaus for a very enjoyable stay in your comfortable apartment. This apartment is very well located in the interesting Vestebro area of Copenhagen. A very easy walk to the central train station - possible with luggage but we took a a taxi from the airport. Tivoli Gardens which is right next to central station is also very reachable on foot and a must see amusement park in a botanic garden setting.

Hi Folks, When I am out of town I will rather that my place is used, kept and appreciated by you than left alone and quite. I love travelling and on vacations I far prefer to stay airbnb-style than in a dull impersonal hotel rooms. I will be happy to assist you with tips and tricks on what to do in Copenhagen. One of my major interests is furniture and design objects from the 60th and 70th. I hope you will appreciate this, as my home is full of it... Looking forward to hearing from you and welcoming you in my home. All the best, Klaus
