From the moment we booked our stay in Rome, Paola was always there to answer our questions and went above & beyond in organising a car to meet us at the airport after a 30 hour flight from Australia.
The apartment is very secure and the building manager was sweet and helpful, even though between both of us, we had little knowledge of each others language.
The location was in the inner suburb of Rome, and reminded us of a typical New York neighbourhood with its eating places and convenience stores.
The nearby coffee shop & bakery was a daily visit for us, sometimes more.
However a small negative for us was trying to hail taxis and find a taxi stand in the San Lorenzo district.
On advice we turned to UBER and once tried that, we had UBER drivers take us out and bring us back home every day.
In the summer, much of Rome closes down despite many tourists, so let Rome embrace you and you will have a great time, especially if you book the "Lovely Flat at San Lorenzo".
Although we did not meet Paola, she was our good fairy for our first AirBNB booking and our first visit to Italy starting in Rome.
The description of the listing is accurate. Very secure building and nice location - mini market, grocery stores, cafes are all around it. People in that neighborhood are very friendly.
It's about 0.6 miles walk to the Termini station.
The flat is spacious, a sofa bed in the living room and a queen size in the (website hidden) is in the living room. I really appreciate it in the hot summer night.
I didn't met Paola personally, because she is out of town, but she arranged a friend to meet us. Communicating with Paola is never been a problem, she seems always reachable on whatsapp.
Paola was very easy to contact, offered to book us a taxi for when we arrived in Rome and met us at the apartment.
Made sure we knew where everything was, gave us restaurant recommendations for around the area etc.
The apartment is exactly as described, fantastic - it has everything you could possibly need.
The apartment is only a 10 minute walk from Termini, but just outside the manic city centre of Rome. We loved this because it was nice to get away at night, (also means there are restaurants that arent ridiculous city centre Rome prices!)
All in all, fantastic apartment in a nice area!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Paola's beautiful apartment for one week. It was the perfect relief from the heat of an Italian heatwave. The place looks even better in real life than the pictures show, it has everything you could need or ask for and the air conditioning is wonderful. It's just the right size for two, and has a lovely kitchen where you can prepare meals. Although you hardly need it as San Lorenzo is packed with great places to eat. People might tell you that the area is noisy, but the apartment is set back from the street so is very peaceful, whilst still getting the benefit of the bustling area. Paola was very kind and welcoming when I arrived and provided all the information you need to get around the area, along with recommendations. It's only a short walk to Termini and really easy to see the rest of Rome, you can even pop back for a rest in the heat of the day and then easily head back out without a massive commute, like you might find elsewhere. Paola always replied promptly and is a very helpful host. I would absolutely come back and recommend this place to anyone - and the price is also very reasonable! We had an amazing time here and in Roma. You won't be disappointed if you pick this place!
Paola was a great host and the appartement was great. The Location in san lorenzo is near Termini and about 2,5-4 km away from the City! Also there is a supermarket 100m away. She helped us with a Taxi and with tips for good restaurants.
In summary a very nice trip.
Very nice apartment. Good location. Calm and relaxing neighborhood. Paola was very welcome. Only good surprises to have with this place.
The description of the apartment was very accurate, and Paola was always easy and quick to reach. The apartment is quiet and clean and is very confortable.
The neighborhood is very lively and is close to Roma Termini train station. We enjoyed our stay

I'M ON WHATSAPP
