I built my first 240 sq ft off grid "Tiny" home back in 92. Although I have continued to add and expand on the home over the years, I still consider myself a homesteader.
95% of our energy is Solar powered, and I have always strived to live a small footprint lifestyle. My spaces are all built using resources from my 17 acre property. Wood is all cut and milled from the land and all the labor is completed by me. I am a permaculture gardener who has worked in an organic seed company for many years and we aim to produce 50% of the food we consume from our garden.
I work as a Dulcimer Luthier at a Children's Summer Camp for the past 25 years and have taught thousands of kids and built over 1000 instruments. I like to envision a better world through music and creativity. My mantra is - live simply, so others can simply live. I try to bring a positive attitude to everything I do and hit the reset button everyday.
We welcome people into homes to welcome people into our lives. We hope to share by example and show that there is always more than one way to live.
