A quiet, beautifully landscaped building near Alexandra Park with elevator and underground parking.
A modern 1400 sq ft, 2-bedroom flat, one block from English Bay Beach in Vancouver's West End neighbourhood.
The living room has a view out to the water, with a sliding door to a balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked, with granite counters and high-end appliances.
The master bedroom is very large, with a queen bed and ensuite washroom, and has large windows to let in lots of morning and afternoon light, plus a large balcony.
The second bedroom has a wall bed and easy access to the 2nd full bath.
WiFi is available throughout the flat. Laundry machines are located in the flat. Other amenities such as an iron and hair dryer are also available.
Bonus feature if you have a car: SECURE GARAGE PARKING is available, and included in the price. Street parking in the West End can be very difficult and expensive.
This part of the West End neighbourhood has been highly regarded for decades. It's close to everything, but very quiet and friendly to pedestrians, beach and nature lovers.
Your flat is close to Stanley Park, near Davie and Denman Streets. Grab your coffee, walk to the water's edge and admire the morning sun on a virtually empty beach. Or pick up sushi or fish and chips and watch the sunset with the locals. The famous Seawall is at your doorstep for walking, running, biking or blading.
Davie and Denman Streets have everything you need: Cafes (both a Starbucks and Delaney's, a great local hangout), restaurants, grocery stores, green grocers, pharmacies, a dry cleaner, bank machines... Venture further afield to Robson Street, Yaletown, or take the frequent ferry to Granville Island.
You are a 20 minute walk from downtown, or a short bus or cab ride to both SkyTrain and the Canada Line (for airport connections).
Brian is a fantastic host and his apartment combined with its location was my English Bay dream come to life! He is very accommodating with arrival & leaving times which worked out extremely well for us. I'm a local, so anyone reading this from afar trust me when I say you can't get any better than this.
Brian's apartment was in a great location in the West End and next to the sea wall and Stanley Park. We had a great stay there in his beautifully decorated apartment. Brian was out of town for most of our stay but he still was very communicative and helpful by email. I would definitely recommend this apartment for your trip!
First of all – Brian was super-fast to reply when I first contacted him – literally within minutes. He was very responsive - whenever we had a question, it was answered pretty much immediately. If you saw the pictures of his apartment and were impressed – it is even nicer in reality: beautifully designed and immaculate, clean and comfortable. Besides being in a wonderful location, conveniently close to everything – a block from the beach at English Bay, minutes from Stanley Park, restaurants, cafes, and shopping within walking distance as well, staying at his place made a wonderful weekend even better. Even though unfortunately we never met in person – Brian had already left for the weekend before we arrived – he was a very thoughtful host even “in absentia”: he checked in with us via email after we got in to make sure everything was ok, and also had left maps, suggestions for activities and places to eat at the apartment. I highly recommend Brian’s flat – you will have a hard time finding nicer accommodations and once you get here you will not want to leave. If – I should say ‘when’ I come back - this is where I want to stay.
The Flat- The decor and furnishings are mature and vibrant and the art work splendid. Everything is comfortable and easy, bonus is the cute patio.
The Host- We did not get to meet Brian but his communication is excellent and judging from reviews left by others could be the nicest guy in Vancouver.
The Area- Just outside Brian’s door is the most coveted real estate in Vancouver - English Bay/Stanley Park. Walk early on the beachfront into Stanley Park where the seagulls cry, the waves lap the shore and the park forest towers on your side. The iconic west end neighbourhood is packed with restaurants, pubs, cafes representing every food type and culture. Groceries, boutique shopping and bike rental are in easy walking distance. Picnic on the beach, bike ride the seawall and shame if you miss the sunset.
Our Trip- this was a birthday/anniversary getaway with our bikes. Its great to take advantage of Vancouver’s growing bike infrastructure of separated bike lanes, seawall and quieted residentials. We did night rides in Stanley Park(fun!) and out to see the beach at Spanish banks and the beautiful Nitobe gardens.
Finds- Cardero Bottega Cafe brews local WE coffee. Americano that smells like chocolate, yummy. Get your picture taken with the A-maze-ing laughter statues located street side center English Bay to remind yourself how much fun you had here.
I crashed at Brian's flat after a big bike ride from Seattle. It was gorgeous, clean, and very well maintained. The location was excellent - just a short walk to a beautiful beach park. When I stayed there was a 'Zombie-Walk' in town, and I got to high-five some bloody corpses; sweet! There are a few pubs nearby and plenty of eating options. This part of town is pretty amazing.
Brian is a perfect host: kind, accommodating, flexible and always going the extra mile to make your stay a wonderful experience.
All this in the fantastic setting of his truly five star apartment, 75 seconds ( my boy timed it) from the beach !
The rooms are beautiful, highest quality furniture, towels that I'd like to get for my own home - hotels ov Vancouver - beware !
The location is one single block from a street packed with restaurants, bike shop, and buses to downtown.
I tell you: this is it.
Brian was a great host and well organized. The location of the apt was fantastic with walking distance to bars and restaurants. I had the place to myself over the weekend, he also provided guides and brochures if it's your first time in Vancouver. I will definitely ask for his place next time visiting Vancouver.
Brian has a wondrously clean and comfortable flat, which is in a top location for experiencing Vancouver. Although we never managed to meet in person, Brian was a gracious host, giving clear and welcoming instructions. I'd readily recommend staying with Brian.
Brian's place is a beautiful and peaceful space that's conveniently close to everything. I spent three nights there, sleeping with the windows open (it felt very safe), enjoying espresso in the mornings, and walking to the bus stop everyday to explore Vancouver. He was well stocked with tourist information and maps, as well. Brian and I were like ships crossing in the night, however, and never got to meet. But, he made me feel right at home via emails and texts the whole time. I'd definitely come back if I had the chance.
We had a fantastic time staying at Brian's flat. The flat is immaculate and in a great location. Brian was attentive and helpful; he made all of the logistics of the stay very easy.
