Le Saint-André is family run. Our aim is for you to feel ultra comfortable and for you to come and go as you please during you stay.

Use the house a as a base to expore the fabulous region of the Hérault and/or to house hunt.

Great walks and cycle rides from the door step.

Interaction with Guests

We are always on hand to serve a delicious breakfasts and give you information on what to see and do in the area.

The Neighborhood

Our village is brilliantly located to "spider" out and discover the surroungings. In around 35 minutes you can be at the medittaranean coast or in the mountains. The river Orb is a must-visit with some of Frances' most beautiful villages lining its banks. Swimming in the river in the summer is a great alternative to the beach. Carcassonne and Montpellier are just over an hour away and the Canal du Midi is just half an hours drive.

Getting around

There is a bus that runs several times a day to and from Beziers and there are shuttle busses from Beziers TGV station to the airport. To make the most of the area however, we recommend hiring a car. Parking is on street, in the village.

Other Things to Note

Try and visit us for more than one night...there is lots to see and do.

  • The accommodations were wonderful with a nice communal room. The location made for a perfect place to visit the nearby villages and wineries. Darren and Emma went out of their way to make sure we had bikes and maps with which to explore and then, they made a great dinner for us with a selection of local wines. A nice treat after a full day of exploring the region! Would highly recommend!

  • Darren & Emma have one of the most lovely apartments I've ever seen, the place seems to be coming straight from a French fairytale. Darren awaited us on arrival and showed us around. The room was perfect, spacious, authentic and very clean.

The hosts are very helpful, they can help you arrange a variety of activities, ranging from jazz concerts to wine tastings. Autignac is a lovely small town, centrally located in the region.

    Very recommended stay!

The house is beautiful and pleasant. Emma & Archie, her son, made us soon feel at home while showing us the house. The room and its bathroom were clear, nicely furnished and relaxing. We enjoyed the guest's living room and the terrace where the breakfast were served. We also liked the small desk between the rooms. All these spaces made us feel at home. The small village is charming with all the old houses, and the 'Café du commerce' is a good and simple restaurant only a few steps away. Darren gave us a lot of sightseeing advices.

  • We had a great time staying in Autignac with Darren and Emma. Beautiful building, wam welcome, very satisfactory sleeping arrangement for 3 in chambre une, great breakfast. They made special arrangements for us to visit a local winery, Chateau Coujan. We appreciated that they were native English speakers. Excellent location for exploration of Languedoc. We would have loved to stay more than one night!

We have lived in France for 20 years mainly in the Alps running a successful chain of ski shops. We got to know the Languedoc in 2003 and purchased a holiday home in this wonderful region. In 2009 after selling our business we decided to have a change of direction and to return full time to the Languedoc to set up Le Saint André. We have two children Archie 6 and Lola 4 who are friendly but discreet as the house is large enough for guests to enjoy their own space away from our busy family life. We have lots of knowledge of the region and are happy to supply routes and itineries for you to make the most of your stay with us here. We specialise in cycling and walking holidays and can combine this with wine tasting at some of the excellent local wineries. Supper is available on certain nights if pre-booked in advance and as prepared using the best local ingrediants. There are 3 options from 15.00€ per head for a lite help yourself buffet including half a bottle of local wine and coffee to a 3 course cooked meal for 25.00€ including half a bottle of local wine and coffee.
