THE STUDIO has a double bed, internet, shower, washer, dryer, two bicycles and the very nice travelers best friend... the hot - tub:-) The flybus from keflavik airport stops not far away, and we are happy to provide pick-up from there. It is within walkable distance, but kind of hard to walk with the bags, not to mention find the way. We are located in the older part of Hafnarfjordur and there are some places of interrest nearby. First I would mention Hellisgerdi, where the elves are said to live, This is a beautiful, park, with trees and lava.
it´s about 5 mins walk. There are some nice restaurants close by, and just 5 mins walk to the seaside. The local swimmingpool is not far away, and it is ideal to grab the bikes and cycle there. In the apartment we have a large map of Iceland, and we have marked some suggestions for longer trips on the map. we also have a printer available for guests, this can come in handy when planning.
There are two grocery stores in a walkable distance, one is a low-price store where you can get everything you need, the other is open for longer hours, but more expensive. The bus station is close by and the bus goes to Reykjavik midtown every twenty minutes.
The studio is cosy and located close to the town center. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy the hot-tub :-) maybe next time.
Sirry was very kind and welcoming and was very helpful with all of our questions. We only spent one night here but it was quite lovely. The free coffee was a nice bonus too.
My wife and I stayed at Sirry's studio apartment for our last night of our Iceland adventure. The location was great (easy access to KEF), as well as to the downtown area of Hafnarfjodur and the harbor. Sirry was incredibly welcoming to us, and we wish we had more time to chat with her, but our stay was short since we were headed out the next day. The space is great and has everything you need.
Sirry's house is easily accessible to the main area that we are exploring, such as the elf park and Viking village for the Viking festival and she kindly offered to pick us up at the bus stop in her vehicle. We felt like we had a cozy studio apartment to ourselves as our room with kitchen and toilet facilities was partitioned from the main house. There is also a hot-tub that looked divine but we did not have the time to use it. Overall, an excellent stay! Thumbs up.
Sirry was very friendly and hospitable. She greeted us very warmly, despite the our late arrival. This place has everything that we need: parking, kitchen, shower, comfortable bed, internet and coffee machine )
Sigridur was zeer vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.het was aangenaam om er s'avonds toe te komen.ideale plaats bij aankomst of vertrek.
Sirry has a lovely home right in the center of Hafnarfjordur which a charming town. My husband and I stayed here for two nights while we explored the area close by.
She and her boyfriend were the most gracious hosts. We joined them for great food, relaxing in the hot tub, disco in the park, hotdogs and wonderful conversation. We learned a lot about their interests and Iceland overall.
This was a great highlight on our journey and I feel so fortunate to have met such kind people.
The listing was exactly as expected, in the heart of Hafnarfjordur. We had a very comfortable stay, and the laundry was a great added bonus.
First of all we have to say that Sirry is like others already mentioned a very nice, charming and helpful host. The pick-up-service from the airport was a big plus incl. driving us around Hafnafjördur with late-night-shopping for our first needs.
But we are not raving as high as others did about the studio. It might be cozy, but the charme of a converted garage is not to be neglected. If you step out the studio you are first in the families carpark. You hear who is coming and going and the smell of the kitchen is going directly in the studio. At our venue Sirry obviously forgot to clean the bathroom, this can happen, but didn't make our stay too convenient. The bed was comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. Going to Reykjavik is no problem, you don't need a car. If we would come back to Reykjavik we'll certainly look for another option, not because it is a bad place, but all the fantastic feedbacks made it for us a little bit disapointing.
Sirry was a wonderful host, helpful, and very accommodating especially with the early check in time we needed. She was extremely quick in getting back to my inquires. Her place was a quiet and relaxing part of town just right outside of Reykjavik. Great location for the golden circle tour.
