Our stay in Terry's Garden studio was very comfortable and homely. It definitely had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and having a heater was very appreciated. Being able to heat food in the microwave was an added bonus. The outdoor area is a nice feature for when the weather permits. I would highly recommend a stay when next in Queanbeyan.
This was our first visit to Canberra with my daughter ( 5 yo) and it couldn't be more perfect . As a single mum I was looking for an affordable yet comfortable place to stay and thanks to Airbnb I have found Terry's place and I will never look for another accommodation from now on when in Canberra. Him and his wife Margie are the most generous ,thoughtful ,caring hosts I've ever met in my travels . His place was compact and has been equipped with all what we needed to feel like home .Microwave, kettle ,toaster ,cutlery and plates ,mugs and glasses (and they did not miss that bottle of red this time either ;) ,candle, TV and even a little vase with flowers from their garden .And most of all we had a heater and our room was preheated by Terry by the time we have arrived in the late afternoon .Everything clean and cozy ,big shower with very hot water which felt wonderful after a long winter day spent out in the nature reserve .Canberra CBD about 20 minutes drive ,but Queanbeyan NSW is about 2 minutes and Terry has suggested us the best Thai restaurant when I have asked for his advice ,Lime Leaves on Lowe st :) Margie made up a folder with all the great places to visit and all the logistics of the tours as well ,very handy . They were always approachable and made sure in every possible way that our holiday as pleasant as possible . Look, I could really just keep writing about what a wonderful impression they've had on us,but I guess you should just book the room and go and meet this great couple ,you will be grateful I promise :) Thank you Terry and Margie ,will be back in the spring holiday !!!! The listing is very accurate. The place is very well done, and is separate, from the host's own house. This is a good one room with ensuite with heater and wifi....Wonderful place to stay.
The owner, Terry, is a very interesting and awesome host. He makes sure that you are comfortable and have everything needed for a good stay. Also has very interesting stories to share....Make you feel very comfortable and is welcoming....certainly a recommended stay for the kind of accomodation offered, made better by the host who offers !
A very welcoming room with a soft light left one, a heater on low to warm the room and a nice bottle of Shiraz to enjoy - just lovely.
Terry made us feel very welcome and was a lovely man. We did not see him the morning we left as wanted to thank both him and Margie for our stay but could not find them.
Terry was a super friendly and fantastic host. The room was exactly as described and had everything I needed for my stay. A bottle of wine was provided on arrival and numerous information was supplied on places to visit in Canberra. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly :)
Communication with Terry from the outset was very good, I had the booking confirmation within an hour and knew where to come and what to expect well in advance. I was welcomed with a bottle of wine & found a clean, neat room with all the basics I needed for my week. This is a very peaceful space, the bed is comfortable and the hosts will make you feel right at home!
