  • The apartment is as pictured. Clear expectations as to what you are booking will make for a very pleasant experience. In our case, this is exactly what happened. We knew it wasn'(email hidden). We expected a cozy apartment by the beach (a block away) (email hidden) and that's exactly what we got. Socorro was very nice in allowing us to check in early since our flight arrived earlier than we expected. Jose gave us tips upon checking in and lent us the bikes to get around. We didn't rent a car since we planned to remain by the beach and planned in staying local so the bikes facilitated this for us. The pool was nice and warm, I saw them cleaning it but obviously you are (email hidden) so Mosquitos fell in during the day but we didn't mind at all. Loved our trip and our stay, will definitely return.

  • The neighborhood is nice and quiet, the locals are friendly, and the beautiful beach and river are just a short walk away. (A cooler and beach chairs are provided!) The apartment was spacious and very clean. We wish that we could have stayed for longer, and spent more nights chilling in the awesome pool! Thank you Cedric and Socorro.

  • Our stay here was very comfortable. Our hosts were so pleasant and welcoming. The pool provided the relief we needed after driving around in Puerto Rico!

  • Socorro was a very nice host. She immediately reached out to us when we arrived to the apartment and offered to help us with any questions we would have. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and the pool was amazing. You can walk to a beautiful beach and are within a few minutes (by car) from the kioskos, where you can grab anything you want to eat. I would definitely recommend this place!

  • Socorro was incredibly warm and helpful during our stay at their apartment complex. She proactively reached out to us before we arrived. She also gave us wonderful advice on how to get to El Yunque and on places to grab a bite to eat in the area. The apartment was comfortable and very conveniently located for both beach and hiking.

We were very grateful for their hospitality and knowledge during our short stay. We would definitely go back in the future. Thank you again!

  • Cedric and Socorro were great hosts. Extremely friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. The location was perfect for our one night stay, between scuba dives in Fajardo. We loved the pool, and the apartment itself was as described. Just what we needed! Would definitely go back (and actually wished we were staying longer).

  • We had a wonderful time in Luquillo, mostly thanks to our hosts, Cedric, Socorro and José. They had wonderful recommendations for dining, including W Sushi Bar, right off of route 3. Socorro even provided us with fresh coconuts and bread from her favorite local bakery. Needless to say, we had a wonderful stay and are already dreaming of our return!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed this past week for three nights. It was the most relaxing and calming place! Ocean waves and the coqui frogs lulled us to sleep everynight. The air conditioning was very much appreciated for sleeping. We ate breakfast everyday on our porch, over looking the lush and colorful yard. The accomadations are simple, and clean.

The beach was just a few minutes away by foot. Once you have reached the beach walk to the left, and you will come to where the river meets ocean, with el yunque rainforest in the back drop. We spent a day at luquillo beach, parked at the public beach parking ($5) and then went to the kiosks right on the beach for drinks and food. If you don't want to pay for parking we realized you can park at the kiosks for free and walk to the beach from there (all within a 5-10 minute walk).

Our host recommended Boardriders for dinner and it was wonderful! Right on the ocean, they had specials every night and the food was very good.

Socorro was so helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. We would have loved to spend our whole vacation there! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

  • I stayed at Socorro's econolodge while visiting PR for my 30th birthday it was the best vacation I've had in awhile. Very relaxin clean place. The pics are exactly what you get. Beach is 3 minutes away walking distance and El a Yunque rain forest is a 10 minute drive and is breath taking. Plenty of places to eat nearby and in fact Socorro recommended a place to eat everyday and each time we were blown away with the good especially the fusion sushi place. You must try this place if you like sushi. As for the apartment itself it was clean and the grounds had an awesome presentation. Pool on site as well ample gated parking. The neighborhood at first glance may throw some people
Off but honestly this place is safe and amazing. Local neighbors were all nice and even helped me and my girlfriend when taking pictures on the beach. Will definitely come back here Socorro is also very hospitable and nice she helped us everyday with good and was even kind enough to lend us some supplies like bags and what not to carry stuff when we went to el yunque

  • Cedric and Socorro's place was absolutely stunning! My friend and I only stayed a day, but we fell in love with the area and the property. We were greeted by Soccoro (and Rufus the dog) who were so charming, welcoming and excited to tell us about what to do in the area!

The location was perfect. It's tucked in a lovely, non-touristic neighborhood and only a block away from what seemed to be a private beach (just us and a fisherman) by Rio Mameyes. We spent all afternoon hanging out under palm trees on the beach, explored the river, and made friends with giant iguanas. Back at the house we had a lunch of local fruits and took a swim in the saltwater pool. Later in the night we drove about 15 mins to Fajardo for dinner and kayaking on the Bioluminescent Bay and ended our stay with complementary beer at the apartment and stargazing on the balcony. The perfect day.

I would definitely recommend this place to friends and anyone looking for a local, beautiful, and comfortable spot to stay near the ocean.

About
Hi, I'm Cedric, you can call me Ced. I'm a percussionist, drummer and music teacher. I'm an artisan whenever I get my hands on some driftwood or beads and string, and a college student. Talking about myself is not my best quality so hopefully we'll just meet in person. I love all types of arts, nature, animals and meeting new people. I really like learning about other cultures, their music and ways of life. I know my way around the island VERY well and I'll be more than happy to help in any way I can! Adventures and other fun outdoors activities are something I try to enjoy often so feel free to ask, "What's there to do around here?" and I'll draw you a map to the Rainforest and on the way you can stop at the zip lining park or go horse back riding at the beach. If I'm out at college during your stay my mom, Socorro, will be here to welcome you and assist you in anyway she can. We live in the house next door. Socorro is a hard working wife, mother of two young men, massage therapist , nature lover, animal lover. Sixteen years in the Hotel Industry allowed her to dream (email hidden) where guests can enjoy more than a roof and good food, but also experience our warm, rich, fun culture. We enjoy long walks on the beach, kayaking and lite cooking (rather eat out any day). We live on premises, so we are available to our guests 24/7. We enjoy bike riding and the movies. YES, we have our outside movie projector ready for any given evening. Popcorn too. We are located a block away from the beach, two blocks away from the Mameyes River (great Kayaking area) and 25 minutes away from one of the 3 Bio-luminescent bays of the Island (only five known in the world). We are 5 minutes away from a Ranch that offers Horseback riding, Go Karts and Fourtracks rentals. Oh yes; we always have coconut water!!!
