Lincoln Street Inn was built by one of the original stonemasons of Fredericksburg in the mid 1860’s. Lincoln Street Inn is one of the most beloved Inns in Fredericksburg.

We meticulously preserved the original beauty of this historic 1860’s stone home restoring its original character yet creating chic guest suites that are elegantly appointed with antique and modern furniture, original hardwood floors, custom linens and amazing original artwork. There are also modern touches like in-room fireplaces, flat screen TVs, WiFi, separate seating areas, spacious bathrooms all with jacuzzi tubs and showers as well as a coffee bar.

About Our Grounds

From the moment you set foot on the property, you will be surrounded by a botanical garden filled with vibrant flowers and plants, green lawn and large shade trees. Mosey down the path and you will spot lovely outdoor seating and a large hot tub. But the most popular spot on out grounds is the impressive wood burning stone fireplace which most of our guests like to cuddle around for great conversation, enjoying a good book or a great glass of wine.

When you come to Lincoln Street Inn you will also get a taste of the fine art of porch sitting. We have a wide upstairs porch with views of Main Street and comfortable seating for our guests in Dove, Bell’s and Blue Bird Suites. And when you book our Presidential Suite, the entire downstairs porch is yours, including a cool porch swing Rebecca’s (owner) used to dream on as a kid.

About Your Hosts

The Inn first opened in 1995, but it took decades to get there. Rebecca’s grandparents owned the property and lived there i the early 60’s & 70’s. When they passed away, the estate sold the house out of the family while Rebecca was attending the University of Texas. She was heartbroken and vowed to buy it back. Finally in 1995 that day came and she did a major historical renovation on the house and opened the doors to Lincoln Street Inn.

Rebecca’s a local Fredericksburg girl who spent lots of her time here at Lincoln Street Inn and she can tell you gobs of stories about catching fireflies and horney toads in the garden, biking to sleep on top of Enchanted Rock and something about every corner of the quaint little town of Fredericksburg. Peter is an industrial designer. They discovered their shared love of rolling hills and big oaks, wine, travel, art, architecture and design years ago while living in California. They moved back to Texas permanently four years ago, when they built Cardinal House. They love to cook, make pies, collect art, design furniture and spaces inside and out. In Fredericksburg they are known as the “lovebirds”. They live on the property in Cardinal House and are available during your stay to answer any questions you might have about the house, the history, the grounds, the town and local sights.
