This gorgeous custom luxury home on a two acre private lake offers recreational opportunities unparalleled in most of Colorado. The property features a beach, swimming, and exceptional trout fishing, and includes the use of kayaks, a canoe and a fishing boat with an electric motor. Wildlife abounds and views are spectacular. The property is ideal for a lakeside wedding and reception. Winter and Christmas stays offer ice skating and hockey, as well as ice fishing!

The space
Newly built in 2018, the house itself is an architectural beauty, featuring custom log and stone work and 1500 square feet of hardwood decking, with an outdoor covered lounge area and hot tub. The great room is spacious and surrounded by windows and glass doors to give the effect of being outside while being in, and the views to the lake, horse pasture, creek and mountains are excellent. An indoor-outdoor double sided fireplace with stone hearth and a grand piano add warmth and charm to your stay. The reclaimed wood dining table can be expanded to seat 10. Like the living room, the adjoining dining room and kitchen have huge windows offering views of the lake or views of the creek and horse property next door. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the large family room with a ping- pong table, Xbox and a comfy new sectional sofa with a pull out. Outdoor living is spectacular under the covered porch with a new sectional sofa and TV, a comfy double hammock, and a swing bench facing beautiful views on every side. The beach and large yard are great for play, and we keep a corn hole set, ladder ball set, an optional volleyball court and bacci-ball on hand for your pleasure.

The lakeside yard is also ideal for outdoor weddings for up to 50 guests while the main home and deck area surrounding it is a perfect space a reception. Weddings are an additional fee of $2500 for a weekend wedding or $2000 for a week day wedding. We can do a single day wedding event or you can combine it with a stay. We’ve included some wedding photos in the gallery. Feel free to inquire for more information.

You are likely to see an abundance of wildlife right in the yard or along the shores of the lake Deer, fox, herons, nesting ducks, humming birds, and a multitude of song birds are all common visitors, while elk are occasionally seen drinking from the pond or munching on the grass in the yard.

For those who enjoy fishing, our catch and release trout fishing truly is something special. The majority of your fish will be rainbows, with occasional fish as large as 24". There are smaller brown trout in the mix as well, and the occasional cuttbow. In summer fish readily rise to large dry flies, and fish can always be caught stripping a bead head wooly bugger. If you spin fish we ask that you convert small spoons and spinners to single hook barbless, which we have on hand for you to use. Please do not use bait. If you'd like to eat trout during your stay, we ask that only keep enough for one meal to preserve this stellar fishery. The fishing can be incredible, and it's a fantastic place to teach a your children how to fish, as success rates are often high.

In the evening cozy up to the fireplace, watch a movie on any of the four televisions, ask Alexa to play your favorite music, and enjoy the complementary bottle of wine we like to give our guests . The comfy reclining furniture both upstairs and down invites some healthy lounging. Cozy, yet beautiful, the home represents the essence of a perfect mountain vacation.

With an wonderful mix of luxury and lake side leisure, we know you'll have a stay that you'll remember for a lifetime. You'd be hard pressed to find a property offering what ours does, and we are glad to share it. We trust you'll love the lake and mountain experience, the beauty of the area and of the home, and the fun-filled activity right at your doorstep!

Conifer, Colorado, United States

If you desire to take in a little city life during your stay, Denver is a short hop away. Broncos Stadium is only 35 minutes away, and Coors Field just a few minutes further. Likewise, Denver's famed walking street, 16th Street Mall, is only about a half an hour drive. The Denver Center for Performing Arts, Denver Art Museum and The Museum of Contemporary Art and the Denver Aquarium are all about a 35 to 40 minute drive. We are near it all yet away from it all at the same time!

Local haunts that are GREAT to visit include the famous Bucksnort, a turn of the century bar and restaurant on the way to Pine, ziplining, disk golf and hiking at Beaver Ranch just a short walk down the road, disk golf at the nationally acclaimed Phantom Falls Disk Golf Course in Pine (reservations only), hiking the Continental Divide near Bailey, forays to Wellington Lake, charming historic downtown Evergreen with its board walk and Evergreen Lake, and some great restaurants such Zoka's in Pine (our fav), and Brooks and JJ Madwell's in Conifer. Evergreen restaurants of note include the Bistro, a turn of century foodie hub half way to Evergreen, Creekside Cellars, and Willow Creek on Evergreen Lake. All are wonderful.

The area also offers exceptional stream fishing at numerous locales for the fly fisherman. If you're a golfer, the Evergreen Golf Course is beautiful, though elk in the fairway are par for the course. And if you really want to unwind, enjoy a massage at the Tall Grass Spa in Evergreen. Redrocks, with its incredible concert venue and stellar shows, is only 20 minutes away. These are only a few of many wonderful options in the area. Then again, floating around on your own lake or casting to your own rising trout may be all you need!
