Location was great.
Everything was Perfect!
Perfect Location in the Centre of Greenwich!
We spent 3 weeks at Carrie's over Christmas and New Year... what a place to stay!
The location was second to none!
There is everything at your doorstep... shops, cafes, beautiful restaurants .. the list goes on!
A quick ride in a cab or subway and you are in the heart of the everything on your travel checklist.
Will be back!
Carries place is awesome! Carrie was extremely helpful and welcoming. The location is the best possible and I certainly can recommend Carrie and her place to everyone.
We enjoyed our stay at Carries apartment very much. Everything was perfect. The village is full of good restaurants and bars. We would recommend it to everybody for their stay in New York!!
Carrie's apartment is great. It's clear and cosy and extremely well located (I lived in NY for a year so I know what I am talking about). It was really convenient to go pick up the keys and leave our luggage in another building so that we didn't have to carry our suitcase the whole day waiting for the check in.
3 low points however :
1) Check in at 4pm and check out at 11 am (it's a little extreme but ok)
2) We payed extra to have 4 people in the apartment but when we arrived the bed was only made for 2 people and we had to make the other bed which was fine but then why have us pay more for four
3)We had a problem trying to find the door and opening it, we tried calling and texting Carrie but apparently her phone number was not the right one since she never got back to us. (she was however very quick to respond to emails, but in that case it was an emergency)
Apart from that everything was perfect and we had a great time.
Great apartment, great location and great host!
My husband and two teenagers stayed at Carrie's place for the week. WOW, what a fantastic location. Loved the area, really quiet tree lined road but only a stroll to great cafes restaurants and bars. We loved it. If/when we come back I wouldn't hesitate to book again. I emailed Carrie the day before asking her if she had a hairdryer, she didn't but said she would leave one. I told her not to worry but she went to the bother of providing one anyway. Airbnb is about experiencing life as a local and we didn't expect total cleanliness or perfection, but I can say it felt like a home and somewhere we enjoyed coming back to after long days out. Very accessible to subway too. Thanks Carrie.
Perfect location and that was all.
Lots of storage, but 95% used by Carrie including under the bed..
Toilet not flushing properly and all we got was a visit by the super who did what he could but not fixed. Yes, we did get a partial refund after getting airbnb involved.
The description on the site is only partially accurate. Carrie lives in California not locally for instance. The front faces north so the sun never enters the apartment.
There was someone's underpants in a couple of places.
Holes in bath towel. One was basically ragged.
Cleaning inadequate. We needed to shift the bed to retrieve something dropped, very dirty floor.
I think Jill was under the impression that AirBNB operates more like a hotel than as a home sharing experience. I live both in NYC and Los Angeles and thus have some personal items in the apartment (stored in containers underneath the bed and in a few boxes in the wardrobe when I am hosting guests). Jill was very dissatisfied with her experience, despite my efforts to try to accommodate her concerns. The plumbing is pre-war and thus you have to hold down the toilet lever for about 3 seconds until it is finished flushing, which greatly angered Jill for some reason. The rest of Jill's review regarding "underpants", "holes in bath towels" and "inadequate cleaning" is, quite frankly, false (and I believe written here to try to harm my reputation as a host). I'm not sure what she is referencing about the sun. The windows do face north, however you can see in the photos that the apartment is very light during the day. I have had over 100 guests stay in my apartment and have had nothing but wonderful and enthusiastic reviews and feedback given. This was an unfortunate experience for both of us, and I believe a result of their lack of experience with using AirBNB and what they were ultimately seeking.
The most amazing location, loved it. Apartment is bigger than photos suggest. Would love to go back!
